Australia never had any great leaders but they had a bunch of good cricketers and all other teams were on a declining stage. The things are reversed as other teams have improved their performance and Australia has lost some of its main players due to retirement. Australia always enjoyed their dominant position to psych the opponents or even umpires, who could forget Ricky Ponting almost ordering umpire Steve Buckner to raise his finger in Sydney test against India and declare the batsman out. With both key players not on their side, other teams not getting bullied by their attitude and umpires not helping them, Australia looks very ordinary side. Ricky Ponting is very ordinary player, he has always scored when Australia were already 200 for one. (like our Yuvraj Singh, high on attitude and low on delivery in tough situations) . He has never scored in a tough team situation like ours VVS or Sachin has been doing.
Australia dominated test cricket not because it had good sportmen but because it was a team of cheats like Shane Warne,Mcgrar,Ponting and Waugh brothers. All of them used Pychology to get batsmen out. If you see replays of the test matches and ODI's of thier era you will find that many worng decisions were given by Umpires in favour of Australians (In fact I bleive they used to bribe umpires to get decisions in thier favour.) Now with the new crop of umpires and strict control of umpires team they can no longer get decisions in thier favour hence they are losing now.All critical decisions in the eralier era used to go to Australians which is no longer the case now.The recent decision of Ricky ponting figting with unpires is the most blatant example how they used to buuly umpires in the earlier era when they had Mcgrar,Gilesspie who were basically cheats than good bowlers ad use dto get away with cheating.

Right...as if India are saints... Show me those "matches" and I'll show you matches were India got it as well.

No, the aussie team sucks. They are NZ level now. Decent team only. They need to find some proper bowlers.
