Point to ponder? Or redemption?
by sumie beg on Jan 07, 2011 10:55 AM  | Hide replies

It's not sad- it's a matter of arrogance. No offense, but Mr. Ponting is the worst captains of the world. He used legends like McGrath, Warne and Gilchrist to make his name in fame. He argues with every captain, even Warne! Even a new captain will find it difficult to fill the void where you have to fill new young kangaroos except Watson.

COMMENTS ARE WELCOME BUT NO OFFENSE PLEASE!

Beg:

I think all captains try to get a good team together. If you have seen exceptions, happy to discuss.

If Ponting was the worst captains of the world, Clarke should have at least drawn the Sydney test. Australia conceded the maximum runs in this match.

You may not like Ponting that's a different story. But this whole "arrogance" business (instead of conceding that this was one of the most novice teams ever to wear baggy greens) makes for very interesting reading; coz the Aussies were actually at their most "so called" arrogant when they were winning; and Ponting wasn't even the loudest one... :)

Any team which plays such pathetic cricket deserves this... :)

Which is why we'll watch Warnie's rebuilding plans with considerable interest... :)

Arun nayar could also be included in the team, as Warne can pay back for his wrong doings

I completely agree, if players like Warner, Marsh, Shaun tait are placing 20-20 how come they are not fit enough for ashes. Imagine a bowler like Shaun Tait going against cook. Australia needs to pick the best team. This was the mistake India did in first test against if Zaheer was our next was ... I don't even remember his name is he much better than Balaji, Munaf, Nehra, RP singh ???

Tait cant bowl more than 4 overs at a stretch...and Zaheer was not fit for the first test, if he had played he would have injured himself and been out of the whole series

no body is above the game.. ponting thought that he will be no: 1 forever, unnecssarily had a spat with lee, by not giving enough over even in test cricket, this thing happend in the ground . lee asked ponting to bowl and ponting rejected for no reason if you thing u r in top..u will topple soon..now they need a real sou searching. but they will come back.. it is just rebuilding phase..
