Sachin already predicted before Ashes bagan that England will be ultimate winners. No doubt about the fact that England are exceedingly playing well at the moment. Also India's ongoing batting performance on bouncy tracks really questions their No.1 status?
South Africans failed to win against Pakistan at Dubai tests. Also their all ODI wins were close encounters & just managed to win ODI series 3-2.
England vs India will be true battle for No.1. It should be assessed with total series performance of 6 test matches.

No way. Most of the teams are preparing for World Cup. So, they are not putting their energy in Test matches.
those who are putting their energy in Test matches will fail in WC.

the current 3rd test where Sachin has scored 146 valuable runs is an example of his selflessness - team above self. Its unfortunate lesser mortals are questioning the value system of a legend.
Today Watson, ysterday it was Pollock of SA; everyone is praising England ; English players like Botham, Gough are already started praising their team; however while praising England they not able to hide their jealousy against India being no. 1 for more than 1 year. Anyway we are playing 6 test against england this year ( 3 in England & 3 at our home); this will be very keenly contested series; till that time all these players should show some patience.
