shreeshant is playing for the nation not for money dude. He dared to face critics becoz cricket iz his passion not profession MIND IT hahahahaha
Skipper Dhoni was laughing when Sreesanth seriously complained to him and the umpire that the crowd hurled bottles of water on him when he was fielding at fine leg.. Bottles were seeing lying on the boundary line.. Very bad leadership by Dhoni.. What does he think of himself? Always getting out for zero..

atleast he shud not be laughing when his bowler is complaining..Forget about Dhoni's contribution in the match but u shud always support your teammates and not laugh at them or criticise them in public.

yes...I remember, when Darryl Harper purposefully called no-ball against muralitharan, their Captain Arjuna Ranatunga protested against the decision by stop playing and went back to the dressing room with his team...Thatz captaincy...If Dhoni were in that position, he would have withdrawn murali and anybody else will bowl... throwing bottles and all should be treated seriously...

Murli was targeted by fraternity to be out of sri lanka and the accustion was from umpire very wrong

We had a bowler 'Rajesh Chauhan' at that time and his career was ende like this only... No one supported him...

Who said, that Dhoni is getting zero in every match. Go see the first two test matches, and then comment.

I can give u in writing he is not gonna score more than 10 runs in the 2nd innings.. he just doesnot have the technique.
Re: Re: Re: Yesterday's incident
by Hemant Mishra on Jan 05, 2011 01:38 PM
@aditya...talking about technique...see sehwag's record in test matches... ...n dravid with such a good tech is failing...so its about clicking at the right time
Re: Re: Re: Yesterday's incident
by Hemant Mishra on Jan 05, 2011 01:35 PM
no offence...but even bhajji and zak with no techniques made 40 and 23...do you wrote this score of his in the 1st test match too?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Yesterday's incident
by Aditya on Jan 05, 2011 01:46 PM
Zak & Bhajji are bowlers.. their batting is a bonus..Still they stuck out unlike Dhoni.

aditya, without 'technique' dhoni has 40 plus average in tests (and 50 plus average as a captain) and 50 plus average in odi. besides he has 4 tests 100s (2 90s in the last few matches) and 7 100s in odi and mostly coming at no. 5, 6 or 7. he has centuries in tests against bowlers like steyn, akhtar, murlidharan etc...
not bad for a batsman 'with no technique' at all...

Plz dont talk about averages..he scores heavily in the subcontinent.. Laxman's avg is also in the 40's..does that mean Laxman and Dhoni are batsmen of the same calibre?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Yesterday's incident
by Sunil Vaidya on Jan 05, 2011 08:18 PM
you forgot just last test he got 90 against steyn? even in the first test he had scored highest after sachin in both innings.
India's chances in this test match depends on the wickets of Amla and Kallis... If today, India gets these wickets early, then we have a chance...If India has to chase a target of 250 , then India may loose...So, if Zaheer and Sreesanth fire in the morning session (also depends on Harbhajan, since the track assists spin bowling), then surely india will win...
4th innings average on this ground is 198, so anything more than this could be diffuclt to chase... & the kind of bowling attack SA has its tough to say... Morning session will be crucial need to pluck bigtimers... All the Best team india... our wishes are with you......
