Poor technique

Poor technique by the batsmen. Looks like they need flat wickets to score runs.

Poor Cricket
by Cricket on Jan 05, 2011 02:11 AM  | Hide replies

It is a poor cricket when we see a score of 600 and this is even worse. Why in the world Baroda is playing Ranji Trophy? Baroda and Saurashtra should be banned and they should play for their own state.

Mr Cricket,

You need to get your facts and history right. Baroda has won the Ranji trophy a total 5 times, and ranks 4th in all time winners list after Mumbai, Delhi and Karnataka - in essence the 4th most successful Ranji team ever. Perhaps you do not understand that the Ranji trophy is not an inter-state competition. And even allowing for your complete ignorance on things such as history of the Ranji Trophy, it still seems preposterous that you suggest that the team that has just made it to the finals of the tournament should not play in the tournament in itself! On what grounds, that it is too good for the rest of the teams? And you talk of Saurashtra, and I am assuming, while being completely ignorant of the fact that Sir Ranjitsinhji, after whom the very trophy is named was infact from the Saurashtra Region?

What kind of a pitch was that
by mohan br on Jan 05, 2011 12:14 AM  | Hide replies

While it is not fair to take credit away from Baroda, one should ponder about the pitch. What was that 33 wickets in less than 2 days is a joke. This is not good for good cricket. The match should be between two teams and between the batsmen and the demon in the pitch. BCCI should take not of this and act.

Keep it up.All the best for the Finals.Perhaps Munaf's bowling discipline has rubbed on to Vahora,Bhatt & Co. Batting has to be consistent though..
