It's not sad- it's a matter of arrogance. No offense, but Mr. Ponting is the worst captains of the world. He used ex-players like McGrath, Warne and Gilchrist to make his name in fame. He argues with every captain,even Warne! Even a new captain will find it difficult to fill the void where you have a new young Oz side except Watson.
Sorry ! Glenn.. First ask ponting to learn the sportsmanship. He should not be compared with Sachin Tendulakar who is the greatest batsmen in the world. Ponting will be retire within a year. So no question of beating his record.
mc.grath wants highest runs scorer should be austalian i.e. ponting. but some lazy indians always bark on sachin records. they dont like india and indian should be no.1. they jealous of sachin. real indians likes sachin
ponting beat sachin records in his dreams not in practical. australia never depend on ponting. all runs came in ponting's bat when team is in strong position. very rare he played good innings when team is in trouble situation. sachin is god of cricket.
