BEST COMBINATION AVAILABLE:
by harilal k on Mar 01, 2011 09:10 PM  | Hide replies

Sree is the best fast bowler India has right now in the team. Advantage of Zak is his experience. If Zak could help Sree to overcome/control his emotions, these two could become the winning fast bowling combination for India. Pl do not throw stones at Sree. You see he bowls very fast consistently(rare for Indian bowlers), what about his seam position(even the opposition has praise for him for that), what about his swing and he has brains too. Just give him some air to breathe. He will be very deadly for the opposition. Good luck India.

Do Indian youngsters prefer fast bowling as career option?
by MeetFireWithFire on Mar 01, 2011 11:32 AM  | Hide replies

Majority of Indian youngsters choose the easiest (batting) route which requires less fitness and skill to earn big bucks? If we need to produce good fast bowlers, we need to change the approach completely.

But, If the youngsters are smart enough, then they should pick fast bowling, since that is where the job opening is available in Indian Cricket

After this world cup..

Drop Nehra,Munaf,Chawla and most importantly Harbhajan forever. Conduct talent searches, watch some Ranji matches, scour the country for some quality spinners and fast bolwers. I dont think our bowling has ever been this poor. If not good fast bowlers, we always had atleast 1-2 decent spinners. What we have now is worse than part timers. Boycott must be watching this and saying.."Hmm..my mum can bowl better than this"

Hahaha, good one. I am a fan of team India, but after watching their fielding and lack of commitment to defend a 338 total from 6 out of 11 players, I must admit, you are right. Pak does look better at the moment.

India's problems are easy to solve though. Coaches, get the guys to run and eat better. They can easily increase their cardio endurance before the South Africa game. Then they will be unstoppable.

Why India failed in bowling?
by hari ganesh on Mar 01, 2011 11:18 AM  | Hide replies

Fist up all dhoni made a major mistake, zaheer have one over left he should not give last over to zaheer, tat over he should give to chawla, last spells should be bowled by munaf and zaheer, then munaf was very lazy player,he got the ball he have enough time,he didn't through the ball, b coz of that one player i think swann escaped, after that munaf laughed he was very casual,he might think what bowler can hit? because of tailenters they made the match tie, compare to chawla aswin is a quality spinner, then he have variety also,he can bowl carro ball,he can bowl googly ,he can bowl dhhosra but chawla cannot also very useless in fielding but ashwin cat bat also his fielding also good.If india should win next match pls give some more chance to Ashwin. He is very good bowler in powerplay overs.Decent batsman also ex:practice match against australia he batted very well against shaun tait and breet lee .

Yes.. MSD will lift the world cup, take a long hard look at it.. shine it up real nice.. and like a good host, hand it over to the world cup winning captain. After that he will go prepare for his IPL practice.
