Dawood Decides
by Patriot on Mar 01, 2011 06:38 AM  | Hide replies

what mind games...dawood bhai has already decided the finalists and on the day of the finals he will decide the winner. Thats the ritual for every worldcup. Going by what will fetch the biggest $$ for a bet...he has decided to bet on non winners England / South Africa making it to Finals and India / Pakistan making it to Semi Finals so far. So the rest are here to make his bet work.

What Indian bowlers lack
by MeetFireWithFire on Feb 28, 2011 07:19 PM

What India needs at the moment is a good quality fast bowler who hits the deck hard at the consistent line with a good length. Good Swing bowling could come good only in England and South Africa. If you have good seamers, you could do well in New Zealand and Australia. In sub-continental conditions you need to hit the deck hard to get good bounce. INDIA never in history of 30 years of ODI had such kind of bowlers. Even if some bowlers of INDIA had done well in patches, for them to be considered intimidating, they should have their bowling average to be less than 25.

Time now for BCCI to act
by MeetFireWithFire on Feb 28, 2011 06:14 PM  | Hide replies

How about SriLanka and Pakistan able to produce quality fast bowlers?

Many people claim Australia have best facilities to produce good fast bowlers. Those are the same people who also say Indian Board is the richest in the world.

If Pakistan and SriLankan Boards provides facilities to create Malinga, Umar Gul, Akthar, Anglo Mathews, India is not able to produce even one.

India are able to produce tons of Virat Kholis, but not a single Malinga or a Lee. The answer for this lies with in us. Yes it is the INDIAN youngsters who prefer only batting as career option. It is time now for BCCI to force our youngsters to take up fast bowling.

The IPL big bucks should go to fast bowlers and then good spinners and then the batsmen. That is how it should be…

Dude, Zaheer is far better then other bowlers and if you think Anglo Mathews is good bowler then you should learn cricket first, yes i do agree that we need one more good bowler like Zaher and our bowler performace didnt do well in last match but you have to think that wicket was more flat after lunch and that is cricket!

Good Pitch, Good Cricket
by Naveen on Feb 28, 2011 05:23 PM

Overall it was a good cricket match, very rare to see these type of cricket matches today.

Scoring 300 by both the teams & match being tied, simply superb. Total entertainment we observed along with good cricket. In the end, a satisfying result for both the team.
