The madness that is cricket !!!
by Akshaya Deshpande on Feb 26, 2011 11:07 PM

In the very ultimate analysis, cricket is a game of luck, flukes and hind sight talk. Mainly, it is not a game of skill at all. If this were not true, then our deified, overly exalted Sachin would never have gone on a duck. Simple arithmetic shows that no batsman can really consciously judge a ball travelling towards him at a speed of 150 MPH or thereabouts after it bounces on the wicket just a few feet from him. No human faculties such as batsman`s eyesight, his agility or his brain itself can ever comprehend and calculate and plan his response to that ball. It is merely a stroke of luck always that his bat even connects with the incoming ball. So why glorify such players and such a game. Compare it with carrom - a good champion will always break-to-finish, because it is a game of skill. Not cricket. Then, how does one read Sachin? Simple, it is like a man saving and accumulating it in a bank. Give enough time and you will reach a figure others have not reached. Sachin has been lucky to have people letting him play for decades, which alone have culminated into the figures/statistics - but it is not a reflection of any skill. And so, as an Indian, I can only hope that India comes out lucky, by luck and not at all by skill.

can you get off the devil's language ...
by E darwin on Feb 26, 2011 09:36 PM

speak something indi does not matter whatever dialect. i understand them all from tamil to urdu to marathi.

will the devil give more favor for more devil language. All Desis (Asians) pray hard to be part of devil's network. I see all Desis (and even Afros) hodoo moslem sikh Xtian etc praying to their God to be part of devil network or profit/benefit from Devil's network. And the atheist are not any different.
Even in job market, everyday, the devil network is converging and taking over almost all the key hire to have slave quality people.
Everyone wants to speak devils language, why. whether you look at international power block or internally, all blocks are connected by devil's glue.
Movie actors speak devil language hoping devil will favor them and they will be heard or be popular, such is the deep colonization.
