Again and again our rulers are proving that they have a long way to go to have change in their mindset.They think they are privileged people and can have all preferential treatment and common people are to be taken for granted and dealt with only in this fashion.We talk of how politicians behave and why good people from society should join politics to cleanse it, to make that difference.But look how Kumble and Srinath who are supposed to be part of "us" and not "them"(politicians)have joined them bandwagon w/o bothering to make that 'vital' change in the cricket administration we are all looking to ? Same thing will happen even if some of us join politics. Instead of effecting any change we would find it more convenient to join the existing ways of political bandwagon.
I was extremly proud when Kumble and Srinath were elected as President and Secy of KSCA.But all that changed after the ticket Fiasco.A lot has been said about very few tickets being issued but according to me it is not just the No of tickets but also the way it was issued in small pigeon hole kind of counters with no barricades leading to these counters also just one counter for a particular denomination of ticket is inexplicable also the fact that these counters are on the main road when you have so much room inside the stadium to have multiple counters.I dont know if it is the sheer lack of forethought or the general calous attitude of the people like Kumble and Srinath who are at the helm of affairs but niether is acceptable.Srinaths Explanation was they did not have enough time which was roughly about a month ask me and i think 1 week is more than suffecient to make all necessary arrangemnts change things that were wrong in the past but were accepted because thats the way things are.
If Kumle and Srinath has shown some sensitivity they could have prevented these happenings. It is one thing to have a road junction named after you but another thing to handle such issues.
The sad part is both Kumle and Srinath failed badly in this area of administration. It is one thing to bowl 50 overs in a match and another thing to tackle such issues.
