England - India Match on 27th FEB 2011.

My best wishes with Indian team. India should win this match and take positive revenge, as England win Reliance cup semi final on 04th NOV 1987 at MUMBAI. It is now our turn.

;-). Yeah. Strauss had hurt us badly back then. Sehwag will make up for his non- performance in 1987. ;-)

eight countries of over 150 play this ridiculous game and we call the competition for a World Cup. Just shows how small we think the world is. having to see a midget so frequently and other jokers is quite miserable.

Swati:

Maybe you should ask your crystal ball to tell you who will bat first before making ball by ball predictions. ;-)
On that note 378/3 is wrong. It will be 654/0. ;-)

Why Yuvraj Singh is not there in the 11 man spuad? It would have been better to give entrance to Ashish Nehra in place of S. Sreesanth

Sunday's ODI wouldsetI ndia 'sstrategy against Bouncers to Test
by D goel on Feb 26, 2011 06:50 AM  | Hide replies

D. Goel Pkl. Morning 6.45pm, Saturdy,, Feb. 26,
2011.
It is going to be a thrilling World Cup B-Group Match between India versus England on coming Sunday. India has to prove that with so much Hype being made ofour Batsmen , are we really going to stand steady against disturbing Short -Pitched Bouncers , ThaT ENGLISH BOWLERS MAY THROW AT OUR BATSMEN . IN CASE THEY GO DOWN IT WOULD AGAIN SHOW HOW WE FAIL TO COMPETE WITH GREAT BOUNCER PERIL....D. Goel.

True ranking of all teams in this WC based on cricketing potentials:

1. South Africa (real good individual talents)
2. Sri Lanka (real solid)
3. Pakistan (wow what a team, Afridi at 7 and Razaq at 8 tells a lot)
4. Australia (fighting injuries, but experienced enough to stay on)
5. England (not good, but still better than India)
6. India (mere hype, home advantage, and commercial support)
7. West Indies (ranks 7, 8, 9 are anybody's call; these teams just stand above minows)
8. New Zeland
9. Bangla Desh
10. Zimbabwe (moving towards minows)
11. Netherlands (best among minows)
12. Ireland
13. Canada
14. Kenya (dont know why they are in this tournament and same to 13 Cananda).

I said based on 'cricketing potential' - naturally other factors including commercial intents would make changes to eventual position achieved.

Not bad India, there are 8 teams behind you!
