INDIAN FANS BADLY LET DOWN BY KUMBLE&SRINATH--II
by damodaran mohan on Feb 26, 2011 02:00 PM

India is changing...it is no longer the 3rd world backward nation but emerging fast as a sports loving international sporting power of the world. The patronage system must stop. Change in Ticketing policy is needed in favor of sports loving general public. No one is asking K-S to accommodate whole of Bangaluru into the stadium but the Ticketing policy has to be in tune with time. Primarily changes needed are: 1.Transparency in distribution of tickets with nos. to various categories made public with no hanky-panky dealings. 2.A min. of 50—80% of tickets to public/cricket fans to be progressively made available through fair ON-LINE,centralized , retail, booking windows etc. sales.3. Distribution/Sale of balance tickets through preferential quotas to ICC/Sponsors ,cricket/sports bodies etc. but not FREE .(sponsorers are in the business of selling their wares, so why free tickets ?).4No FREE PASSES to any VIPS,VVIPS, BSY , no one including your family members. Only those members of organizing bodies who are physically required to be present in the stadium should get FREE ENTRY.If Kumble & Srinath can’t implemebt it, they are unfit to occupy the chair. Better vacate it.

INDIAN FANS BADLY LET DOWN BY KUMBLE &SRINATH---I
by damodaran mohan on Feb 26, 2011 01:56 PM

Hardly six months back we saw how during CWG Kalmadi fellow mismanaged Games Ticketing -----while hundreds and thousands of common games enthusiasts were denied entry due to “non-availability “ of tickets but most of the stadia were seen empty .Media report suggest a loss of Rs. 70 cr. due to FREE-PASS culture to VVIPS dished out by Kalmadi. What is seen in Bangaluru/Mumbai/Kolkatta... for cricket matches are no different but continuation of the same patronage culture practiced by privileged people in power to segregate majority of the common people from them. A Kalmadi or Shared Pawar or Dalmia doing this is understandable but this was not expected from our heroes like Kumble and Srinath who, instead of bringing in a fresh change in the system seem to have joined the Pawar bandwagon whole hog !The way Srinath is making light of the entire thing not just shows his insensitivity but also that he lacks the leadership quality needed to head this sporting body in the changing times.

Hold all cricket matches in Kerala and the north east states.
Nobody there gives a ratsass abt cricket.
So all crowd troubles can be avoided, unless the northie hordes come in droves....godhelpusall!

Just 7000 tickets for sale for the public....Ordinary cricket loving fan being butchered for standing in long queues to get tickets from his hard earned money being chased away by police...The rich and influencial person in board sitting in ac room without shelling any money or energy to get tickets get to watch the matches....It happens only in india...I dont understand what big difference is srinath or kumble are going to bring by heading the cricket board...It happensonly in india where scamsters like raja gets 1st class treatment for swindling our money and given home made food and middle class people like most of us are treated shabbily if you by mistake even jump a signal for that matter and are made as if we are criminals.....god save india....

this is such a shame...out of 38000 tickets only 4-5k tickets were sold to common public...Sharad Pawar should be kicked out...Srinath had promised to raise the standard of facility in Chinnaswamy stadium....but nothing has changed as of now...the toilets are dirty..food pathetic...seating arrangements are not proper...a big thumbs down to Srinath and KSCA....

when BCCI is raping the foolish people it is time public should avoid going to stadiums just like last world cup in west indies. They have to throw open the gates for public to fill up the empty stadiums.
