Be alert INDIA!!!
by Manoj Saxena on Feb 23, 2011 10:24 AM

India will play on Feb 27 from England and on March 9 from Netherlands. We hope Team India players watching this match of 292 run of Dutch batting.
India should be alert from this batting, I think team India bowling is not better than England. So if Netherlands bat first against India, they will be able 250 or 275 plus runs. Could be it possible? India should performed bowl with good lines and length against them. In the other hand, batsman should also be done their best.
Against England, Team India should be more careful. They are more batter than Netherlands in the batting & bowling. England has good fast bowling attack.
Suggestions for Team India (match against England):
(1)      Should play with Harbhajan and Ashwin, and can join Piyush also instead of Srisanth. With one pace attack of Zaheer, 4 or 5 slow bowlers will be able to stop England under 250 runs. In Bangalore, the pitch will support spinners or slow bowlers.
(2)      If Team India win the toss, must chose bowl first. Because this is D/N match. The humidity and high temperature (25oC plus) will help Indian players.
ALL BEST WISHES FOR TEAM INDIA

WoMan:

100? More likely we'll restrict Netherlands within 20...
Considering that even Bangladesh - a much better batting side than the Dutch - couldn't muster more than 37 against us, you are hoping too much from Netherlands with 100 and all... ;-)

Your assessment are with extremes. On one side you are over confident on our strengths ( Forgot our pasts? ) and on the other you are thoroughly under rating Netherlands.

Dutch deserve credit
by Ian Chappell on Feb 23, 2011 08:36 AM

I think this dutch side has 2 or 3 really good players who can compete with big guns ! Ten Doeschate, Tom Cooper and their captain Peter Borren are real good class. Doeschate has been an important player for Essex in English county and he really made his mark there. I wounder if they have some good bowlers what would have happen in yesterday's match !

A RAISING POWER IN CRICKET
by SRIDHAR RAGHUNATHARAO on Feb 23, 2011 08:23 AM

England might have won yesterday's match, but Netherlands has shown remarkable performance in the field. The confident and very responsible batting of Doeschate with his equal show in bowling and the sharp fielding by Dutch were very impressive. England had to struggle for this victory. It's really very apt that Doeschate deserved Man of the match. By this splendid performance, Netherlands has delivered a strong message to all participating teams that it is a force to be reckoned with and a raising power in the Cricket World.
Our team has a lot to learn from this.

ICC please open your eyes and give Netherlands Test status and allow them to play regularly. For sure, there would be heavy ticket sales with such sort of performance yesterday night. If only the Netherlands had little experience ie., how to bowl in the depth overs, the result would be difference. Anyway, Dutch persons nothing to be shamed, you people not only to Englishmen but all others also you made open their eyes. Keep rocking !!!!!

Them Dutch are tough and accurate like their German cousins.

They know how to give a tough time to the English.

Impressive Neds..

Netherlands lost match, but their fighting spirit was praiseworthy.
Posting a total of 292 against England was great effort and Ten Doeschate was outstanding with Bat and Ball.
England, though bowled badly, were disciplined in chasing the target, and their top order batted sensibly. Yet they were fortunate as there were 10-12 mis-timed shots while they batted which could have proved costly on some other day.
