A specialist bowler, who was given the honor of opening for India, for 2011 world cup, did not complete his quota - against an ordinary Bangladesh batsmen. We cant afford to have him anymore. Bring either Asshish Nehra or Piyush Chawla.
There no doubt that india is good at batting. But seeing the match with Bangladesh we could see that the bowling dept itself is weak.
The suggession of our earlier great player Anil Kumble is right. we need a spinner to control the flow of runs and restrict the oponent to building a huge scores
I think that WC should be event of Max. 10 team on the round robin basis to play wd each other. 4 top team out of them cn go to Semis. I think WC of 1992 is the best world cup we hav till date, & after dat it is just a pleasing act to associates members & downgrade d value of WC. 1992 was Best.
GOD HAS BEEN UNKIND IN TERMS OF PRODUCING FAST BOWLERS IN INDIA.
BUT WE CAN'T REALLY BLAME GOD FOR THIS. THE MAIN HINDRANCE S THAT WE DON'T HV QUICK BOUNCY WICKETS OR DON;T PRODUCE THEM AND THUS THE BOWLERS DON;T TAKE IT TO BOWL FAST.
ALSO COMPARED TO PAKISTAN, INDIA IS WAY BEHIND IN THIS DEPT.
