I agree. Piyush should be first choice instead of Ashwin. Leg spin has always been a nemesis for South Africa and England. He should be played in all group stage matches so that he can be in great form by the time quarterfinals happen.
i said on sunday in the press conference that indian bowling is weak i mean the pace bowlers particularly.they should have restricted bangladesh to a max of 240-250 runs.but bangladesh made around 280 which is a drawback i can say.their spinners are real threat to any team on any day.

Definitely. Piyush did well in last 2 matches but Ashwin is playing well from last 1 year.

When you are going to defend above 300 there is no need to put extra effort. Sree should learn it from Zaheer.

Very True. The problem with Sree and Ishanth is that they are not intelligent bowlers like ZAK or Munaf. Also these guys have lost their ability to bowl yorkers which could be very effective in any form of cricket. Look at Malinga. Sree and Ishanth strive for bounce in Indian Wickets which are highly dormant. They should learn to use the length more intelligently. Even Nehra is guilty of pitching short more often. At his pace he will only get blasted out. Improvement in Line and Length is the most crucial need of the hour for India. Unfortunately Sree is not learning and gets carried away.

u are right - moreover, when u tie up an individual , his performance effects, now way we like sreesanth behaviour!, but this is an adat which should have done in early stages of life by parents or when you be in the team 2nd, i felt a plot he sree was not given a right field where he was slammed which will make him sit out the entair world cup - which indian captain wants

problem is he lacked control.. he was experimenting.. and then wide/ balls.. finally panick.. and praying. these don't help team's cause.
Our pace attack is good for nothing compared with pace attacks of Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. And Yuvraj and Yusuf Pathan are just average bowlers, they can not be called allrounders. They are not in the league of Kallis, Shane Watson, Angelo Mathews, Shakib Al Hasan who are brilliant with both bat and ball. Hence on these slow wickets India definitely needs 2 full-time spinners. They will certainly bowl better than fast bowlers.

Against any top team, India will struggle in the bowling department if the batsmen do not put up a total of 300 . See how even Bangladesh scored 280 . India will be very vulnerable to defend any score below 300. It would be interesting to see how they play SA and England and how much of a total they put up.

true. spinners slow down tempo. eng,sa and wi are not very good players of spin
Indian's definitely are strong as per batting is concern in this Asian conditions. But bowling, I can't think they will win matches for you until u have a right combination.
