ODIs v/s T20
by Mervyn Menezes on Mar 11, 2011 05:24 PM

With the advent and success of T20-the cup-o-noodle version of cricket, many opined that ODIs were all but out and dusted. Till now this WC has consigned such fears to RIP. Their opening encounter against the Dutch went down to the penultimate over, though England always had the upper hand in the chase. When everyone felt that the high scoring tied encounter against India was a topper, the brave Kevin O’Brien from Ireland transformed his bat into a magic wand to surprise the Englishmen, quelling their challenge to help Ireland end up on the right side of the finishing line. To add to these nerve wrecking encounters, England dished out yet another end of the seat humdinger which ended in their favour. In their match against the Proteas they were never in the game since the first over. The South Africans known for their excellent bowling never allowed the Brits to relax and ultimately bundled them out for 171 runs in 45.4 overs. You made a good fun of yourself.

@Rediff admins: Seems you don't get enough articles to publish on your site and just to fill pages you put such crap on this site.

Sachin should retire from ODIs. Lot of young players are there. But not from Tests...let him play 2-3 yrs more in Tests.

Zero H:

The entire Indian team should retire from all forms of the game as there are a lot more young players out there... . I hope you agree with my statement that logically follows yours... :)
