English batting unsettled
by Indranil Chowdhury on Feb 21, 2011 09:49 PM

All these nervy moves just prove that they do not have a settled batting line up yet. Who told them that KP at top and Prior at bottom will help them - the theory should be tested out on field. KP is a bit of a big mouth - with all his talent he falls way short of his potential, and although England has a good side they are not not playing as a unit. All this show and big talk is no good and they are playing right into our hands. We will give them a good dose of spin and kick their butts in Bangalore. Hope it doesn't rain on Sunday.
Cheers

Yeah, he is aggressive and dominant. He will set the pace and allow other batsmen to get into their groove. Something akin to making the great Ian Botham the opener in the 1992 World Cup.

But in 1992, they had a great middle order of Smith, Lamb, Hick, Fairbrother and Stewart. The current middle order looks a bit weak without KP. They could have opened with Bopara.
