Will the writer please get his spelling right if he wants to be taken seriously.
'Quiet; means noiseless. What he means is 'quite'

Even my son in primary school knows the difference.

India puts its end on the first quarter final match and will be thrown out from this world cup. Because its bowling is very shabby and fielding is also on the same line.Mr.Dhoni give up your cricket and sit at home and think about your future some where else other than cricket... It is not in your scope to win world cup...Just forget it....

NRR
by sudhakar gundimeda on Feb 20, 2011 12:55 PM

India doesn't take matches serious or we would have up at good NRR yesterday. Thats why we
are not No 1 in ICC rating,we should have bold Bangladesh below 160. We should not only concentrate on winning we need to improve our image so that it psychologically creates fear in opposite team so winning would have been easier. If Simple Bangladesh have created so much fear y India cant?

Dhoni's cheap politics in that one sreesanth over
by Rajan S on Feb 20, 2011 10:22 AM  | Hide replies

Yesterday i was disappointed with dhoni's biased approach. It is a well known fact that dhoni is playing some politics inside the team. And when sree was taken for some 20 odd runs in one over, dhoni could have gone to sreesanth and had a talk with him and could have tried to slow the game a bit. Then sree may have conceded only one or two runs of the last two balls. But instead sreesanth was seen all alone and that is not the sign of a good captain or a good team spirit. I think dhoni was having two calculations in mind. One is that he could easily exclude sreesanth from his scheme of things in this world cup sighting his performance in the match and the second reason is the one which seems to be the most disastrous of them. He was showing the arrogance of a 370 run cushion. He knew that even if he plays a trick of ousting sreesanth and even if that cost us some 8 or 10 runs to the team, that won't cost us a win. But he forgot or wanted to forget the logic of needing a higher net run rate.So the way dhoni led in that single sree over, clearly shows that he is not 100% committed captain

Firstly Sreesanth should understand his resposiblity,if he can't then he should be kicked-out,there are players to be advised, they listen to the people, there are players to be ignord to be given advise, you should be understand why MS dont get near to Shree now.If you dont you are prime on bringing politics and divert the caption sprit.

Nobody is denying the fact that sreesanth bowled poorly yesterday and that he is only an average bowler. But if we take in to consideration india's bowling attack, he is on par or only just below the other pacers in our team. Even zaheer, who is having wealth of experience behind him, failed to pick up any wicket at the start of bagla innings even after having 370 runs to defend.
I am not the one who discovered that dhoni plays his politics within the team. See, i too dont want sreesanth in the indian team but i am the opinion that a captain should be an unbiased person

They are all professionals out there, at lest they claim so, so no ball after ball talk required, each individual are well aware of their role in the team, if a person just cant bowl to his field or stick to a length, there is nothing a mate or captain can do. Be sportive in your comments @Rajan, i myself a keralite

Dhoni's poor petty politics in that one sreesanth over
by Rajan S on Feb 20, 2011 10:13 AM  | Hide replies

With this bowling attack, we just cannot progress in this world cup.Unfortunately, under par bowling has always been the bane of indian cricket and to win matches , bowlers need to deliver.
Yesterday sreesannth bowled poorly. But in the next match it may be the turn of zaheer to put up bowling figures like for eg: 7-0-61-1 (just a hypothetical figure, but this could well happen). We just dont have even one bowler in this line-up whom we can put our faith on.

India can't win the cup with this performance !
by Ian Chappell on Feb 20, 2011 09:37 AM  | Hide replies

Mates...I must say India's performance yesterday was pathetic and lethargic !
You can't win the cup by betting on lame horses ! Sachin's best has been a PAST now and if Sehwag doesn't fire your bowling is not good enough to defend a low score. I haven't seen and fire in body language of Indian's too ! But I will keep my wordings until I see the performance in the big match like against England. That match will decide how good the preparation and mindset of Indian team is !

batting alone can't help any team.bowling attack with sreenath,zaheer,nehra,bhajji/kumble during 2003 was the best after 1983 for India in WC.But now Munaf is only bowling well

what greg did to zaheer, dhoni is doing it to Sreesanth. u could see sreesanth after the comments of dhoni. australian players, spit, beat, push, abuse etc. to other players and i am yet tosee some australian condemning them, especially their captain. see dhoni, how he demoralised sreesanth in a press conference. if he had anything to say, it should be in private. sreesanth will never be same again.
