Well ..Sehwag said he wanted to play a quota 50 overs and wanted to give Bangladesh a fitting reply..this shows that where there is a will there is a way..he wanted to stay so he stayed..this did not take things casually as he used to take it earlier by throwing away his wicket..why can't he take such pledges against Aussies or SA..i have not seen this fellow taking such pledges, because he knows they are quite tough competitors and his sayings will draw a flak if he fails..so do I need say more about these gimmicks about Veeru..it is was not needed..his bat could have done all the talking

Sehwag amazes me - his footwork is so weak but yet he is such a destructive player. Also I am surprised that this is the first time a 50-over stay crossed his mind , any opener from day one would aim that. Anyway - if he really manages to play close to 50 overs for rest of the cup we will get 370 everytime and win all the matches.
India doesn't take matches serious or we would have up at good NRR yesterday. Thats why we are not No 1 in ICC rating,we should have bold Bangladesh below 160. We should not only concentrate on winning we need to improve our image so that it psychologically creates fear in opposite team so winning would have been easier. If Simple Bangladesh have created so much fear y India cant?

You r right but at present, bangladesh is not a team to be bowled for 160 in their home ground. In the same ground they have lost only one match prior to this match. We definitely should have tried to restrict below 250.
Dear Mr. chappell, action speaks louder than the words. Do not miss India- England encounter to see another Indian victory. You judge them by your words and we hope Indian will reply through thier bat and ball.

Yesterday i was disappointed with dhoni's biased approach. It is a well known fact that dhoni is playing some politics inside the team. And when sree was taken for some 20 odd runs in one over, dhoni could have gone to sreesanth and had a talk with him and could have tried to slow the game a bit. Then sree may have conceded only one or two runs of the last two balls. But instead sreesanth was seen all alone and that is not the sign of a good captain or a good team spirit. I think dhoni was having two calculations in mind. One is that he could easily exclude sreesanth from his scheme of things in this world cup sighting his performance in the match and the second reason is the one which seems to be the most disastrous of them. He was showing the arrogance of a 370 run cushion. He knew that even if he plays a trick of ousting sreesanth and even if that cost us some 8 or 10 runs, that won't cost us a win. But he forgot or wanted to forget the logic of needing a higher net run rate.So the way dhoni led in that single sree over, clearly shows that he is not 100% committed captain Nobody is denying the fact that sreesanth bowled poorly yesterday and that he is only an average bowler. But if we take in to consideration india's bowling attack, he is on par or only just below the other pacers in our team. Even zaheer, who is having wealth of experience behind him, failed to pick up any wicket at the start of bagla innings even after having 370 runs to defend.

Dhoni is definitely not in thebest terms with Sreesanth, who was included because Nehra was unwell...I am sure Sree must be playing on the last matches in WC..Sehwag too commented about it, of course sugar coating it by saying any bowler can have an off day..when a bowler is being hit all around the park..the team members must show support for him..but I guess for Dhoni and Co. minus Sreesanth, plans were different....I do not really think with this mediocre bowling India stand a chance beyond semi-finals

But if he really didn't want to have Sreesanth he could have left him out in the first place. Why give him a chance at all? Understood that there was a 370 run cushion, but it was more of an opportunity of Sree to showcase his skills rather than Dhoni playing politics. One performance does not prove or disprove anything and since Dhoni fails match after match himself there is absolutely no suggestion that anyone in the team is blaming Sree for that one over. It is more for him to learn from the mistakes and correct them in the future matches. Dhoni regretted exit of PK and all for a reason, people in this forum were all crying out for Sree's inclusion in the first team. Now that Sree performed badly there is no point in drawing quick conclusions. It is a long world cup and Sreesanth can improve along with the whole team.

I noticed the mid-on coming in to support Sreeshant. But the bottomline is Sree is a bonafied test player, he needs to understand to calm himself. That no-ball and wide are ridiculous. We should support our team as a whole and honestly assess problems. If Sree cant take the pressure with 370 onboard against bangladesh, how can he handle KP, Watson or Amla with only 200 on board? Remember that 14 (5nb, 5wides and that drifter boundary on the legside) out of the 4 are given by Sreesanth, not scored by Bangladesh. Criticizing Dhoni for Sree's performance, does not make sense.
