Don't understand why this talk after all... Kohli is no.2 in the ICC ratings for one day batsman... he doesn't finding a place in the final XI is like an actor missing out on the national award after winning an oscar for the same role...

Guys,

This is for those morons who talk bad about Dhoni. Dhoni can be any team of the world, just because of his batting abilities OR wicket keeping abilities OR a true leader and thinking abilities. We are lucky that we got it all..When Dravid showed his back to all of INDIA after giving up captaincy, he took over and took Indian cricket to this height. Even Sachin says that he feels proud to play under Captain Dhoni..If you remember T20 worldcup league game against pakistan, when it was tie and decision was based on throwouts..every indian bowler hits the stumps while pakistanis failed, the only reason because he made all Indian players practice this,, thinking what IF we are this situation, where as pakistanis never thought that deep and lost...

So guys who are cursing Dhoni..keep ur ASS shutup..its only because of him that we are thiking, that India might win this world cup, He won the IPL, Champiaons Trophy and next big one is world cup..ITS COMING GUYS...

It was Kumble, who retired and Dhoni took it over. Also, it was Lalchand Rajput as coach during that Bowl out in the Tied match against Paki.

Lalchand was out there with his pad and picking the bowlers to bowl in the bowlout.. Dhoni is good but don't just make him God as there are numerous in the team and coaching staff who helped India reached to the new heights..

dude pease don't overreact, warmups are not of any consequence.Dhoni is a good captain and positive batsmen with poor technique, but lately he has a lot of poor performances. In Yesterdays match NZ bowling was very poor and they ran put of ideas. As a odi team you can rate newzealand nearly equal to bangladesh.I feel you are sucked into this hype of india winning world cup, as such quarterfinal is already decided. So one who wins 3 matches continuesly after that will win the world cup.

which is where you get it all wrong. Good performance does not mean 100s or 50s. Easy wickets allow scoring 100s and doubles. What would be the score be against a tight bowling and fielding ? Think and learn.

Dhoni has himself told that midlle order should fire, which is not happening from past few matches. He is one of the batsmen playing there. He trying, lets hope our middle order fires like it did againstNZ.
By good performance I mean some contribution with bat which was not happening in SA.He gives reasons like players are tired, but always appears in different ads.I think I have got it spot on.Meanwhile I like dhoni, sehwag and sachin.

dhoni is the most valued player as he plays according to condition. he plays multiple role in the team, keeper, captain and batsman (many times he saved india). where as sachin so called genius, yet to prove that he is atleast intelligent, let alone genious

Tendulkar
by Dilip Mahanty on Feb 17, 2011 04:41 AM  | Hide replies

The maggots are crawling out of the woodwork to criticise Tendulkar. The man scored 8 Test centuries in the last 12-13 months and among others a double century in a ODI against not Bangladesh but South Africa yet these insignificant maggots with nothing to look forward in life keep snipping Tendulkar's heels(for that is the height they can reach at best). They would rather India loses than have Tendulkar playing.Apart from jealousy and low self esteem these self styled critics have nothing to recommend them. They get their kicks criticising an icon lauded by the cricketing fraternity around the world.
Wonder what these maggots will say when Tendulkar finally retires after breaking most world records and India finds no one to replace him adequately. Guys like Tendulkar,Dravid and Laxman are not easy to replace. The likes of Raina,Murli Vijay, Rohit Sharma,Uthappa and even Kohli do not have the same skills and temperament!
God bless the ingorant maggots!
One gets fed up to the back teeth when the ignoramus make "profound" statements!

India v NZ
by Dilip Mahanty on Feb 17, 2011 04:16 AM

This match did not reflect the strength/weakness of India sufficiently.NZ has been a fodder for almost every team in recent times and India's triumph is overrated.
India has three major problems to resolve before coming against better teams.
1. Bowling combination:Pace for the sake of it is not the answer. If a wicket is offering life then a 3 pronged pace attack could help. The worry is the fitness or otherwise of Nehra. He resembles an old man when he is running to bowl or while fielding.Munaf's shoulders droop when batsmen go after him. Sreesanth is mecurial and cannot be relied upon to provide stability while bowling-somewhat like Johnson of Australia. Isn't it better to have 2 pacemen and an extra spinner on generally slow turning wickets?
b)Fielding is atrocious with slow coaches like Zaheer,Harbhajan,Nehra,Munaf in the outfield leaking easy singles and twos.As they say a run saved is a run made.Fielding can improve with both Kohli & Raina included but Raina's batting does not inspire confidence these days especially against fast bowling. Neither does Yuvraj. His bowling helps the balance.
c) Running between wickets is chaotic to say the least. There is no anticipation; the batsmen follow the path of the ball instead of responding to their partners;the bat is in the air and not grounded when they run.The desire to hit risky 4s & 6s when safe ones & twos would do is the cause of many Indian batsmen's downfall.
So there are man

Yusuf Pathan should play at no.10
by Arvind Aravindanatham on Feb 17, 2011 03:45 AM  | Hide replies

Against crappy teams like NZ which has a bowling attack that pales in comparison infront of Bangladesh like teams, in-form Yusuf Pathan should bat at no.10, I'm sure this strategy will be repeated in official matches against minnows, Harbhajan and Zaheer should also bat infront of Yusuf to please Dhobi for them to get into form and to improve their own statistics. South Africa is such a better TEAM instead of looking for 100 in an unofficial match they[Amla and Smith] decided to retire out to give chance and test their middle order players. Dhobi's strategy is me first, India second, when it comes to preference, glory for me, first.
India had such an advantage around 45th over, they should've sent Yusuf PAthan early, even if he got out early, his blitzkrieg would've pushed India's target to over 370 . Dhobi utilized fully the crappy pitch with the worst bowling attack, this ORam was being blasted by Afridi just 15 dayz ago, he also got form thanx to Orams' lacklustre performance, New Zealand is screwed if PAkistan don't make it to QFs, every other team will crush them out of the competition with ease.

dhoni himself is not in form.. Then what s wrong if he plays out for some time.. Yusuf is in goos form dude and if you want to feel, feel for Yuvi.. Also, batsman coming in at 46th over is not going to improve his confidence or not going to give him any extra practice..

Skipper Dhoni did not giv chance to his fellow batsmen like yuvraj and pathan to practice batting instead started hitting minnows newzealand spinners. He should have given chance of batting practice to yuvraj and pathan, harbhajan, chawla etc.How south african skpper smith and amla gave chance of batting practice in warm match against australia.Dhoni should learn from them if he really want india to win.
