eden gardens,chepauk & wankhede(previously it was brabourn stadium in mumbai) stadiums dedicated to game of cricket for the people at kolkata,chennai & mumbai to watch Indian team play - always ready to host any match any time of the playing period of the year - always ready - prepared for the last forty years with world class pitch - clearance from officials needed for the concerned organisers only - I for one feel India - england match should have been played in eden gardens on 27th of feb 2011 - as the stadia was ready by 7th of feb 2011 as per arganisers requirements - shifting of venues do effect both players & spectators - really a disappointing factor with no match alloted for India to play in eden gardens in world cricket cup - 2011 - opinions differ - eden gardens goes into electrifying atmosphere when INDIAN TEAM plays - a sight to be seen for all both for players & spectators - an encouragement most needed in matches like the one now in world cricket cup - 2011 with over a lack of spectators encouraging the home team India at every minute of the game right from the start of the first ball to the last ball bowled - an experience very very difficult for both the players & spectators alike to forget - even watching the tv when matches are played in eden gardens makes one glued to tv sets throughout the game - an experience of oneness in encouraging the hometeam very hard to forget but to cherish in the long e

True, but if you spare the stick, you'll end up spoiling the child. As if the CWG wasnt embarrasment enough, the organizers in Kolkata were well aware of the rules, deadlines and were granted not 1 but 3 extensions to the deadline. Its a professional sport and things are dealt with a proper process. Eden broke that and thats what they get in return.
