South Africa established themselves as clear favourites after whipping Australia by a formidable 9 wicket margin. The nightmare pace trio of Steyn, Morkel and Tsosobe which had haunted India during recent, reaped through a struggling Aussie batting line-up. Apart from Ponting and Clarke, the OZ batsmen fell quickly - and they have a point to prove. SA batsmen backed their bowlers with an impressive performance and never looked in trouble against Oz pace (like the Indian middle order) to chase down a modest total. Clearly SA have come here with a very well-balanced side and are in sizzling form.

All the so called match fixers attended Tendulkar's wedding. Azhar Produced this evidence but no one seemed to bother about it.
It appears Group B where India figures has much stronger teams. Not sure if this grouping is fair. Tough luck India. Me thinks India may not reach the Semis (unless as always I point out, the money plays its role).
Simple analysis: Group B: South Africa and England really strong Group A: Australia and Srilanka.
India and Pak seem to be third in respective groups.
Lets have a look at the other teams head on head.
GroupA vs Group B New Zealand to West Indies, WI stronger (despite the recent problems) Zim to Bangladesh, Bangla quite strong (Zim is not contest) Minows Canada, Kenya no match to Ireland & Netherlands
So in all Group B is a tough group and a team like India can very easily lose to one or two of the lower rated teams from this group, which is not the case for the top three in Group A.
Good luck to India four years from now! Or let us hope the money makes it feasible.

Sewag,Yuvraj,Kohli,Petersen,Watson,White,Gayle,Sangakkara,Mcculum,Akmal,Afridi, In Bowling:Zaheer,Ashwin,Chawla,Afridi,Mendis,Murali,Brett Lee,Swann,Steyn,Morkel,. Things might change a little as we cant expect 100 preditions during the match. But I am sure these guys will shine
I think Sachin will not perform up to the expectations in this WC.....i don't have much confidence in him this time....my bet will be for other players....
I am follwing cricket from 1987 WC. These days everyone creating hype that WC is going to be in the INdia' hands. Some one saying that this is for Sachin some one for else. World cup will not won by making Statments. World Cup will won by Playing on the field. In 1983 world there was not any hype like these days. Kapil Devils played like Champs. One inning can destroy any tems's hopes like Kapil's inning in 1983 wc against Zim. 1987 WC like Graham Gouch inng. destroy the iniand hopes. in 1992 Inzamam ul haq inning destroy the NZ hopes. 1996 wc Santh and desilva destroy indian hopes. So i want to say in Knockout stage one good can make or mar a Teams chance. So we should concentrate on playing good cricket rather than making statements on Papers. Also this world cup can go any way. I wish India will won but only wishes cant do anything we have put runs on the board and take wikets like Kapil ans Imran khan teams did in world cup of 1983 & 1992.

Empty talks. Just to create more excitment and money flow. Stupid fans like me are paying to watch the insipid event.
guys...stop speaking crap about Nayan Mongia.. he was never a match fixer.. honestly speaking..do u think somebody will pay him to underperform.. secondly..he is the best indian wicket-keeper, i believe. he was always a part of famous indian victories in the 90s, and he kept wonderfully well to kumble. infact kumble once admitted that after nayan mongia departed, he never had faith in the abilities of wicket-keepers like msk prasad, ajay ratra, deep dasgupta (who was a goal-keeper actually) and parthiv patel
