Some of these players should have skipped IPL, Champions Leauge or other tournaments in the past year or so if World Cup is important for them.
Apparently, Dhoni has started laying foundation for the excuses, just in case. His own batting form is a major concern. When do you remember Dhoni last scoring a fifty? I don't recall.

Already Giving the excuses I Dont know why Bloody Ashish Nehra has been selected? use the simple Logi If a Fast bowler cant bowl well in South African what can we expect from him in the Indian conditions? Use the brain selectors.

They had actually dropped Sreesanth who was the peak of the 3 pacers. But then one has to agree that inclusion of Chawla was justified.

At this point, Sree is the one that will be opening the bowling for India. Munaf just does not have the body language, although he was the best seamer in SA.

As to Chawla, I genuinely thought he had a chance to play in the World Cup just because his leg spin brings in variety to the bowling considering that Harbhajan, Viru, Yusuf, Raina all bowl offies.
I still think Chawla might prove expensive with his flight, so I think Ashwin will get a nod ahead of Chawla.

Forget about bowling well, he could not finish his 10 overs in SA and in the warm-up game yesterday. You come into the team as a main bowler, you can't bowl 10 overs and still continue in the team?

well another critic your memory seems to be in a very sorry condition.
for that matter the same seems to be the problem with my memory too.
well sachin certainly was not one of those players to skip IPL Champions league. he played ipl he also played champions trophy. he only did not think it necessary to play for national side for about year or so in odis because they were not so important and not money-making propositions.
also sachin has laid foundation for HIS excuse. just in case. that he failed because he had no match practice for about a year. BTW when did sachin score his last fifty? i dont recall.

Good to see that you have accepted your memory problems. Even if you did not, people would have realized from your comment that you are suffering from some Alzheimer's disease.
Fifty? Sachin had an unbeaten double century in the last three ODIs he played.
Sachin and excuses? Even if India gets beaten in all matches in the initial phases of WC and could not make it to the knock out rounds, Sachin will still remain and retire as the greatest batsman ever. And people will like you will continue whining for the rest of your lives saying that Sachin did not win a World Cup for India ignoring basic facts that Sachin is the leading run getter in two world cups and all world cups put together and ignoring that cricket is a team game and unless all individuals in the team work together, a team cannot win a championship.
And for clarification, NO, I don't have memory problems.

another critic, sachin scored a double century in the last three odi. so what were his scores on the bouncy tracks of SA in the next 2 odis? sachin was a total failure there. dhoni outscored and outshone sachin in both these odis. sachin chickened out feigned injury and ran away home when he realised what his future was in the remaining 3 odis. while dhoni stayed on and fought.
Dhoni has scored so many fifties and hundreds and you dont remember even ONE fifty of his? really you have a very serious problem-long term memory loss. FYI when sachin scored those 200 runs in the same match dhoni scored 68 odd runs in 36 odd balls. He simply hammered SA attack and he was particularly severe on steyn. in one of steyn's overs dhoni plundered 17 runs. as usual sachin took the advantage of his opening position to put up a big score. if dhoni had batted for as many odis as sachin in the opening position, dhoni till now would have hit at least 4-5 double centuries.
sachin will only be remembered as accumulator of records and being fair weather batsmen. he only bats when conditions are friendly and there is no crisis. as soon as a crisis arrives he crumbles down as has been in the past 21 years. sachin will be remembered as a flop and india's worst captain till date, uninspiring and bereft of any ideas or positive, winning attiude.
dhoni on the other hand will be recognised as india's best odi batsmen till date, best ever indian captain, taking india to no. 1 rankings

How will they remember that 68 ?. The entire theory was that dhoni wanted to prevent sachin from getting to 200. So he has to be the object of hate. Most of the people here don't understand that an opener gets a better chance to score those hundreds and doubles. Sachin sadly has been a fair weather batsman to a large extent. Handling pressure is not his forte eventhough i dont think it is for lack of effort.

actually what u said applies to u. u seem to say the same abuses again and again... so teri......
Trying to make some excuse ready.. if incase he fails in the world cup; he somehow got the feeling that Indian batsman apart from a couple are just show piece on the ground; so all depends on those who are in form if they fail then the match fails; And to win the world cup those few batsman has to click for 3 consecutive match.

He is the worst thing to happen to indian ckt ... he doesnt want to take rest eitehr from IPL (where he gets money) and crom international ckt .. cause he is also worried that he might loose captainship ...
It is sad that Dhoni states tight schedules. These players, excepting few failed to score well against SA in tests. Dhoni himself scored only one 90 in the lost test and failed terribly in all the following matches including ODIs. He is preparing the answers if India fails to enter qf stage. This is really mental preparation. First of all Dhoni must bat well to secure his place. The aura he created while entering the scene vanished. He cant be a non performing captain forever.

If the player is believing the fact that playing for the country is the most important thing in his tenure, he will never complain for tight schedule. If somebody is complaining, he has many other things which are more important than playing cricket for the country.
Now our big shots in the team thinks "Even if I do not play good in the WC, my income from IPL and Ads are unaffected. I do not care about performance in WC. What matters my money is IPL and Ads. I should perorm in IPL rather than dying hard in WC"
BCCI should slash the money for each and every player in the tournament. This is the only way we will get a committed team for an event like WC. Secondly, they should be banned from all TV Commercials!
