You probably do not know in detail what Tiger Woods did. You are crazy to say this. Unfortunately, your message will be read by a few of us, else you will get mobbed by almost the entire Indian population.

like i said, if one man that can break Sachin's ODI double century record and that is one and only Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. Rest players have not patience, and technique to do what Sachin did.

yes u r rite what sachin did nobody can do after playing so many matches lots of runs records & centuries but a rare show of wins for team india
Mr. Gary Kirsten - Glad that you consider sachin as one of the greatest, He is indeed yes. But unfortunately - NOT better than Brian Lara.
Brian Lara far more better batsmen than sachin and Test Record Speaks about it.
When Lara retired both batsmen got same no. of Test Centuries. But Lara's Test career has greatest gold mines. Scores like, 500, 400*, 375, 277, 226, 216, 213, 209, 203, 202 and famous 153* against very good australian attack , over all 20 scores over 150 - Please note, all these Lara amazed it with a Team like West Indies. ( Worst team in the world ).
More Importantly Lara's Batting has DOMINATION Feature and Class written all over his strokes.
The Strokes you see in One innnings of Lara - you will not see in Another. That Unique Lara is. Sachin Always Same Strokes. No Variety at all.
And Spin - It is Universally known fact that Lara is 1000 times better player than Sachin.
Lara more class and style.
Now About ODI's. Sachin opened innings for india about 350 times. Obviously his record will be better. Lara only till 130 odd odi's batted at no 3 and averaged 48 ...
Only Advantage is that sachin has is his AGE. thats it. He never had any variety in his batting at all. Always plays same strokes - which he played right through 20 yrs of career.
Lara more variety and lot more skill.
Anyone who knows cricket really will know who has more skill.

Lara, Sachin, Ponting all are allmost equally great players in Test cricket which defines the great players. All their averages are in the 50s and all of them have had an average higher than the other at some point in their careers. As of now it is Sachin. If Sachin had to be the outright greatest he should have had an everage in the 60s which no one currently has. Thats what makes the Don way ahead of the rest.

don was great during his time but not now...don faced less fast bowlers compared to sachin (130km/hr plus), he rarely played against different countries under diff conditions... sachin, lara, ponting, kallis are better than don

"The Strokes you see in One innnings of Lara - you will not see in Another"...
Could you please clarify which strokes he play in another inning...does he bat upside down...or right handed...or perhaps hitting the ball standing behind the stumps. what about batting on one leg or holding bat with one hand... hitting the balls with his helmet...

brian lara may be super star... but in cricket there is only one star of super stars... only mega star...sachin...

Who lasted more? Sachin or Lara? No doubt Lara is great but the greatness went to his head - nobody talks about Lara as the role model - but everyone does about Sachin. Sir Don Bradman himself said that Sachin reminded him of himself - he didnt say that about Lara.... See the consistency and I dont agree that Sachin had fewer stokes than Lara. Sachin wanted to serve his country longer hence eschewed on exuberance, unlike Lara who was only playing for himself and hence you can see what the plight of West Indies is today!!!

I would say both Lara and Sachin are the great players.
In tests, Lara has played really big innings, like 400* and 375. On other hand Sachin played big inning in ODI with 200* against SA. Even after having really big hundreds in tests, Lara's average is not better than Tendulkar's.
Regarding the short selection, I am not agreeing with "makilraj". However, let us say what was said is true, then I would say, if bowlers could not crack the Tendulkar's ability of playing the same shorts again and again over the years, this is nothing but the solid technique. As "makilraj" said, anyone who knows cricket will you will understand this.

makilraj,
Yeah...your second last sentence says it all! And all who know about cricket (all top current and former test cricketers) say Sachin is the best. Definitely Lara is close, but very few (if at all) say Lara is better. So maybe you "know more" about cricket than all of them??
Guys, it's ok to have your opinion. But don't just hate Sachin for the sake of hating him, or just to get some attention here, as no one at home gives a hoot about you!

Lol!!! i pity you...i think you've never followed sachin's cricket...Brian Lara would never have had the expectations of a billion people , everytime he went to the pitch. Sachin had started playing at a very young age and from then till today he has always fulfilled his fans expectations. Which no person can do consistently for 2o plus long years...don even compare lara with sachin, lara himself wuldn't like it....if you don't like sachin, better stay away rather than typing some s**t.... you people must be dhoni supporters, that's y you can't talk sense... and no one asked lara not to open the inns in ODI's...and world's one of the best spinner shane himself has rated sachin the best and the great he has ever played with... i dun know hoe people can become so dumb
