Most probably....
by s mumbai on Feb 10, 2011 10:35 AM

25 March Friday...
A3 vs B2 @ Mirpur Bangladesh.
Pak or SL Vs India (india is B2)

or

24March Thursday, Ahmedabad
A2 Vs B3 (india is b3)

Again either pak or s.l. will be A2 as it is assumed that australia will top group as a1

india should try to win all group matches to be b1 so that it has the opportunity to face either nz or zim at colombo on 26 mar

Host country has advantage, always
by george thomas on Feb 10, 2011 08:41 AM

For CWG, India scheduled lot of new events in shooting and got a lot of medals.
In Asian Games, China did not hold those events.
----------
In any case, let's see who wins the toss in each game.
And, expect a few untimely rains.

League Stage has SIX matches for each team
by george thomas on Feb 10, 2011 08:35 AM

There is no hanky-panky here because in the League Stage, every team has to play SIX matches.
Unless Bongaladesh wins Four matches, they cannot go to the next stage.
Same is the case for India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand.
Winning one or two matches and eliminating better teams is not going to happen.

Misleading headlines
by sanath on Feb 10, 2011 08:31 AM

The headlines says that the fixtures were made to favour India, but the text reads "the fixtures for the mega event, beginning February 19, were made to favour co-hosts India AND OTHER TOP TEAMS making it to the knock-out stage."

This is sensationalism at its peak !

so whats new in this?
by Sunil Vaidya on Feb 10, 2011 05:37 AM

So whats new in this? it happens in every sport. chess, tennis, football, hockey, you name it, that is the way it is every where.

The lots or pairing are made in such a way that the top two team or the top two players will meet only in the finals. If everything goes according to the plan or pairing the best two will come through to the finals.

You dont want that the top 2 players or top 2 teams play in the initial stages itself and one of them gets knocked out, do you?
