I am not happy with this format , this is simialr to Worlcup Footbal where knockout starts from QF.But there competition is much more..here in group stage atleast 2-3 match for top teams will be cake walk.. and then suddenly knockout an done loss u r out....
so Supersix with Carry Forward point would have been much better to make Group Stages compettitive..

They had to change it from 2007 format because it made big name teams like Pakistan, India, SA vulnerable to some pesky teams like BD, who never wins any game but somehow pulls some upset and crate great financial loss to ICC.
India was favourite in last four WC also . Performance during the tournament is what ultimately matters .
Thanks to the sports Cricket that we have at least one sports where we are favourites !
Don't know if 20 years from now the situation will be like this , assuming more countries start playing cricket .
Recently in football qualifier from Asian countries , we got bashing ,
Hockey , for last 20 years , we are waiting for " improvement " .... lets wait ..
In such a scenario , Cricket is the last resort which gives us the chances of of calling ourselves world champion or favourite in a TEAM GAME . Good Luck Team India
