Truth is NONE of the others including Sachin would take chance to take Captaincy... knowing that it's a pressure job and that their performance could suffer as a consequence...
Dhoni is a great captain... until somebody else can fill his shoes... hatz off to him.
praveen kumar doubtful for world cup With barely two weeks to go before the all-important World Cup, Indian cricket team is having some tense moments as swing bowler Praveen Kumar, who suffered an elbow injury during the South Africa tour, now close to being ruled out for the mega event.
Praveen, undergoing treatment at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore , would now need to go to England for further treatment - a final call on his availability in World Cup would be taken after the medical check-ups in England.
Praveen was rushed back home midway through the ODI series so that he could get back to shape before India start their World Cup campaign on February 19 against Bangladesh.

I agree entirely... opening should be left to Viru and Gauti as far as possible... Sachin at 4 and Y Pathan possibly at 5...

He played just 4 ODI's in last one and a half year in which 3 times he failed. Let see how he performs.
