Australia are overconfident
by Indian on Dec 25, 2011 08:47 PM  | Hide replies

Australia think they will sweep the series 4-0. But this time the Indian contingent is strong enough and I think Australia would win by a margin of 2-0 or 3-0.
We might not have bowlers who can pick 20 pickets, but we have batsmen who can play for 3-4 days without scoring..
So its gonna be a good series but we Indian fans can rest assured that we r not gonna lose 4-0.

Also Sachin's century is eagerly awaited by everyone in the subcontinent, so if that happens it might just be the icing on the cake and indian fans will forgive team India even if they happen to lose 4-0.

How soon you have forgotten the 4-0 drubbing by England recently.

Indian team is only good on flat Indian pitches, or against B/C teams abroad.

Indian team should thank Greg
by vengo on Dec 25, 2011 08:38 PM  | Hide replies

1.It was his "Management of Change" strategy which changed Indian team. One who understands 'Kurt Lewin's Change Curve' can only appreciate his contributions. Others will not even know what he positively contributed for Indian Team.
2.Management of change is 80% leadership and 20% management. Those who dont know criticize Greg.
3. Today Indian young guns are firing bcos someone laid that foundation. thats Greg. Gary Kristen enjoyed the momentum thats Kinetic energy given by Greg.

4.Whenever any change is introduced, a few will accept(like DRAVID), a few tolerate(like SACHIN, KUMBLE etc), a few Reject (at later stages by Ganguly) a few sit on the wall to see whats happening ( all remaining players including Dhoni).
Also read JOHN KOTTER'S 8 point formula. Greg applied all these. After initial turbulence(which is common in change process) momentum sets in. Of course Greg took lot of time to bring in changes, bcos many opposed his ides. Rahul was helpless. He alone cant change everything. Meanwhile Greg was removed. But the momentum he started we are enjoying and max Gary Kristen enjoyed.

In that case, claim that even 2011 was fluke/fixed. Pak playing defensive cricket even when it was about to win (Semis) and Srilanka playing unfit players also are indications of the same.

India's chances of winning hinges on how Sehwag and Gambhir flourish in their opening stand. We only wish Zaheer and Ishant bowl at full steam.
