Indian team should thank Greg
by vengo on Dec 25, 2011 01:44 PM  | Hide replies

It was his "Management of Change" strategy which changed Indian team. One who understands 'Kurt Lewin's Change Curve' can only appreciate his contributions. Others will not even know what he positively contributed for Indian Team.

The Indian cricket lovers are happy that there are not many who understands "Management of Change or Kurt Lewin's theory about it! All we know is that this Chappel fellow is a pathetic leader of men. One can have the best of ideas but if you can not make others understand them, then you are a failure - as Chappell is. You can not force-feed ideas you know! So, dear vengo, please don't bore us with your pseudo-intelligence!

management of change is 80% leadership and 20% management. Those who dont know criticize Greg. Pls read the theory then we will discuss.

Whenever any change is introduced, a few will accept(like DRAVID), a few tolerate(like SACHIN, KUMBLE etc), a few Reject (at later stages by Ganguly) a few sit on the wall to see whats happening ( all remaining players including Dhoni).
Also read JOHN KOTTER'S 8 point formula. Greg applied all these. After initial turbulence(which is common in change process) momentum sets in. Of course Greg took lot of time to bring in changes, bcos many opposed his ides. Rahul was helpless. He alone cant change everything. Meanwhile Greg was removed. But the momentum he started we are enjoying and max Gary Kristen enjoyed.

after all the insults he had to bear from aussie board and aussie players if greg does not want to help aussies it is perfectly understable...

if he is feeling miffed it is completely justified...

Chappell has flaws!
by Rakesh Mehta on Dec 25, 2011 05:05 AM  | Hide replies

The Chappell brothers have character flaws. Ian is infamous for taking his pants off during a game on the field. The youngest Trevor was a loser--he bowled underarm during that famous match to thwart the other side hitting a six. And Greg, the middling m0r0n, thought Sachin does not have talent. They must come from a family that prides expediency over talent and strength of character.

India should play with 5 bowlers

India should play with 5 bowlers:
Zaheer
Ishant
Ashwin
Umesh Yadav
Irfan Pathan as allrounder.

Did the selectors miss the trick

Include some one-legged and fatty ones who consistently bowl around 100 kph, like RP Singh. Consider LR Shukla for an all rounder.
In spite of all that is said about Indian bowling, the bowlers have performed better than the batsmen on overseas tours. Even in England, the team was let down by the batsmen, and not the bowlers, managing just one score in eight outings in excess of 299!
Forget 5 bowlers. Take 9 batsmen.

It is definitely tempting to put irfan in the mix of the things but let us not get carried away with his swing alone. If the ball is swinging and he is bowling at 110 kmph then he is an absolute waste.

BCCI started getting money only 1996 onwards, before that they didn't have much money. So, I wonder how they fixed all the way from 1983 :). Irelly don't know why people like you bother to watch cricket.

WHEN one team fails like india there is possibility of lot of money beeing poured in for faul play like 1 run deficite at wankhede stadium costed bookies 1000 crore who betted on india this money goes where is there any track by police or interpole as the magnitude of this money is as big as war expenditure so police in australia must atleast wake up so also interpole if BCCI wants to hide the culprits
