2003-4 then 2007-8 indian could win only one test so be alert
by pravin sarode on Dec 19, 2011 10:21 PM

2003-4 Ajit Agarkar 6-42 spells and 233 plus 70 notout by Rahul Dravid made india win test 2007 all round performance of Irfan Pathan so such all rounder is needed and these practice match is most deceiptive as in shri lanka tour 2008 also sachin scored 64 runs but the real things are that the pitch in the first match is always result oriented and helps bowlers

Our bowlers
by True Indian on Dec 19, 2011 08:46 PM  | Hide replies

Vinay Kumar, Mithun, and now Dinda (all 125 k) can theaten any team in the world. Think soon they will replace Zaheer with another kanada PACER from Kumble family or Dada's state.. and ignore somewhat better pacers like Abu Nachim

Gambhir useless
by sivaram NG on Dec 19, 2011 07:37 PM  | Hide replies

It's time to make note of Gambhir's lack of performance in tough conditions. His failure is not being talked about as much as others'. He simply cannot cope up with pace bowling and is a pain in the team. He should be replaced by Rahane, who though lacks experience, but has the technique.

Look he is a good player going through a bad patch. He has the ability and temperament to deal with pace like he has exhibited in Aus before. He has been having an issue lately to convert his starts. Seems more like a concentration issue than technical.

Rahane should be kicked out. Useless fellow. Good for mediocre teams. Gambhir manage to face the morning conditions better than any of these batsmen esp Rahanne

India has a huge batting depth.INfact there are several talented batsmen siting in the revserve bench l;ike Manoj tewari. What we now need is genuine pace bowlers who can make the opponent hear the Chin music,

Now that we all Indians know that espn people will torture the Indian public with
your boring one eyed one sided commentary team of Wilkins sunny saurav etc along with your
eye soring graphics(graphics that no other network around the world can come up in terms of
ridiculous color font etc) during india tour of Australia.

At least for God's sake tell Saurav that when some one else is calling the action ball by ball
like Ravi Shastri , then he must not call it himself.
During the english tour he was jumping the gun and caling it ball by ball when someone else is
assigned it.

It happens sometimes with all but this Saurav does it almost everytime.
It disrupts the flow of commenatary .

Especially in Stuart Broad hattrick.

Mr Saurav always has the same boring line repeated ad nauseam: "Will it go all the way yes it
will"
Listeners get fed up of hearing it

Does espn people have the courage to tell him saying the above?
It is a torture that is forced upon us to watch Espn with your graphics and commenatary when
Channel nine has superb colour font graphics and excellent commenatary

Channel 9, excellent commentary??? Do you have different standards to judge partisan commentary? Probably 1 or 2 in Channel 9 may be ok, others are similar to the ESPN gang that you mentioned

It seems like evryone in india wants to bat no one likes to bowl. BCCI should give preference onlt to allrounders no pure batsmen or bowler should be entertained.

Rohit should be given chance in 1st test instead of Virat, as because he looks technically better batsman than Virat especially in test matches on bouncing tracks..

not only that, Rohit is more matured than Virat. Virat always like to play shots which is not good in Tests.
