His statement is true--that India on a given day has the capability to beat any team in the world. At the same time fickleness of the team ensures that they are beaten by ANY team in the world on all other days.
Laxman saab, dont make statements in drunken state. Wash ur face and correct your statement as follows as its causing lot of misguidance/confusion to cricket fraternity.
We can be beaten by any team in the world especially in foreign soil with spinless, brainless, baby bowling and batting attack
As the scorecard supports my comment that laxman is the most useless player in this playing 11, and the most mind bothering ques. is why Dhoni did not pick up Rohit sharma in
Laxman is talking big but is not backing with performance with the bat. This is the 5th test abroad (including the 4 in England) that he has failed, yet he talks about not playing to potential. In both the innings of the 1st test in Australia, he was sitting duck for the bowlers, look hardly convincing during the brief stay. He should let his bat do the talking instead of making tall claims about being able to beat any side in the world, when they lost all the last 5 tests played abroad since June.
Not sure with what confidence he has been making such statement considering we have baby bowling attack compared to SA,ENG,AUS. And considering we have a batting line up that cannot shine in bowler friendly conditions except Dravid saab. Unless we have world class wicket taking pace bowlers at a good strike rate, we cannot beat any nation in their home. Also, below will be the dismissal mode of indian batsmen in Austalia
1.VVS Laxman - clean bowled thrice between 0-30 score and caught and bowled between 0-70 twice. LBW once 2.Tendya - LBW 4 times between 0-50, clean bowled - twice between 0-70. 3.Dravid - caught behind thrice between 40-130,clean bowled twice and lbw once. 4.Sehwag - caught bowled -4 times, bowled 4 times
