Dhoni u r the worst...dont listen to d09s talking abtthe dhedh futiya tendlya or gandbuly dada being above u..dedh futiya tendlya's rabid fans will only talk record record record ... You teach the citizens of India not to worry too much about the result. If you win, that is fine. If you lose, there are always excuses & players to take the blame. You deserve Ireland/Bangladesh/West Indies/Canada/Pakistan/UAE Ratna.

The ever rating can only be done when he retires. He is good. Bharat ratna is open only for sachin .. hehe. Even dhyan chand is deemed inferior to Mr recordkar.

Dhyan Chand died 30 years ago. Even his son who played for India in hockey must now be an old man. As much as he is a legend, I don't understand the idea of a posthumous Bharat Ratna. I did'nt like the idea of Sardar Patel getting Bharat Ratna more that 50 years after his passing. It does'nt make sense. If you have to do it,why not Mahatma Gandhi, why not Gurudev Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, Jyotiba Phule, Raja Rammohan Roy, Emperor Akbar, Raja Harshvardhan, Emperor Ashoka?
Coming to the present, I don't think Tendulkar should get Bharat Ratna. He has got the country's highest sporting award, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna. Leave it at that. This whole debate for including sportsmen in the Bharat Ratna awards is unnecessary.

Dhoni's success mantra: Keep short-term goals, live in the moment

It works for the moment.

Dhoni will be the greatest to his fans till he keeps winning.

Yes it does. For the whimsical fans that only rate somebody by victories, that would be true. Not for others who rate people by their demonstrated abilities while knowing that nothing lasts for ever.

Dhoni's inspiration is BCCI which also lives in the moment and makes only short term goals. He teaches the citizens of India not to worry too much about the result. If you win, that is fine. If you lose, there are always excuses & players to take the blame.

Failure Mantra
by Jiju on Dec 17, 2011 08:03 PM  | Hide replies

Wonder what is his failure mantra? Lack of Luck (England series)/ crowd noise (Srilanka) / IPL parties (T20 WC exit)/no resources (Lords)/ loss of wickets during power play (Nagpur) /2nd half was better to bat (Bangalore).

He takes the credit when the team performs well and blames his players squarely if the team perishes in any match. He also like Vijay Mallya is the king of good times :)

The confusion prevails. He has never claimed credit for somebody else success. If you are talking about the media, then well dont bark up the wrong tree. It is funny how hate makes you see genuine comments as excuses. Of coz idealism is nice.

A Gem
by Tropical boy on Dec 17, 2011 07:29 PM

If you look at it, Dhoni is a gem which came out of the ocean called India on its own.
It happens rarely though. Another example would be the great Kapil Dev. As we have seen, the frequency is not so great. Hope the so called masters of the ocean realise this. You really need to explore to find the gems. Else, the frequency will be the same for them to come out on their own.

and yeah, just not about cricket.

Well lets hope to see more like Dhoni coming from smaller towns and playing significant roles. I am quite positive there will be more coming. People with the nerves for the tough situations.
