Nayak:

I don't think our bowlers should lose like NZ... I think Varma's message was in a positive light... urging our bowlers to do better... not worse...

You are not a follower of cricket. Please go through the record books to know who were on top since last three years in taking wickets in domestic tournament. Both Vinay & Mithun are new to the international cricket. Give them time to prove. You can not write them off if they fail in a few matches. Even great bowlers of other countries failed repeatedly in the past.

Our team lacks genuine pace bowlers & it's a known fact.If our batting does not click we are gone.

Let the complete the Series...
by exit reality on Dec 15, 2011 08:44 PM

It is easier to discuss things here. Let's see what is happening on the ground... :) As long as Indian Cricket Control Board is not grooming quality bowlers and quality pitches, this will continue. India is blessed to have few quality players like Sehwag, Dravid, Laxman and Tendulkar. Let us see.... This is only the warm up match, let them get familiarized with Australian Conditions.

Surprised
by praveen rao on Dec 15, 2011 08:25 PM  | Hide replies

Just surprised that Dravid decided to bowl first. He more than anyone else bar Sachin and Laxman knows the difficulties of Aussie pitches considering the bounce and pace. Just thinking would getting real good batting practice have helped instead.

one task that should never be given to Dravid is captaincy. Just not his cup of tea.
