that is the problem - we need to go back 10 years! We need to just accept the fact Bhaj is not threatening spinner anymore. Limited overs cricket has ruined his skills. He needs to find it again to come back. It will be awesome if he comes back stronger.

harbhakan has taken 400 wickets. How many Indian bowlers except an Anil Kumble and a Kapil Dev Nikhanj are there who have achived this milestone in International cricket ? Please see facts and comment just because a person is not in a good patch of form . This is our current mentality of expecting instant result . Not to blame you, after a lot of economic license raj when the economy is opened wide, we are seeing this age of instant noodles , instant coffee, instant food and everything instant and are carried away by instant successes everywhere.

I am happy that Bajji is not in the team. Let the talented youngsters be given a change. Hope his career ends here
Harbhajan , please keep quiet. On geting 400 wickets, you said that now very soon you will get 600 wicket. Now you are getting wickets of tailender only.

The trouble with Indians like you is that you are quick to ridicule greatness....because you yourself a useless/nameless nobody wasting time on a rediff blog. To those who understand cricket (and I dont mean the T20 version), Saurav Ganguly has been a very important milestone in Indian cricket...both as player and captain. What a non-entity like Abhijit Nair writes on a rediff blog cannot change that!!!

1.Great? media overhyped him 2.cannot play short pitched bowling 3.ran away seeing green track and aussie bowlers at angpur 4.claimed one bounced catch in wc finals in 2003 I am entitled to my opinion and secondly you also are a useless/nameless nobody wasting reading / writing in rediff forum

Unfortunately international bowlers in the 10 odd years that Ganguly played cricket, were not as smart and knowledgeable about cricket as you...else would they not have realised that he could not play shortpitched deliveries...Those dumb bowlers allowed him to score more than 10000 ODI runs (usually opening the innings) and another 7000 odd runs in Test Matches ...where he came in at no 6. And ofcourse your vast cricketing knowledge also agrres that scoring runs on green tracks in England, Australia, SA, NZ etc (while also captaining the India team)is what every gully cricketer can do. I also why media only hyped him and not Dravid, Kumble, Tendulkar..who also led India during that era?
