It is really too too much of cricket. every channel has come up with a cricket specific channel besides showing cricket in their regular channels also. There is star cricket, neo cricket, ten cricket...AIRTEL has done something noteworthy by withdrawing sponsorship commitment from champions league. Sliding graph of IPL euphoria is another writing on the wall. Hope this overfeeding of cricket comes to an end sooner.

Very true..... 76 matches in the next IPL-5....! It is becoming a torture to watch cricket nowadays..... But i though Neo Sports was the worst (only my opinion). The anchor (I guess Srinivasan or something similar) gives his own commentary for highlights also!! And no doubts, it is sickening. The standards for commentary is as hopeless as our team's performance in the England (2011).

Tell me frankly Matte, out of the 76 matches how many do u actually watch? The matches involving your regional team and the matches involving your favorite cricketer's team (if different). If the team u support goes into the semis or finals, u see that. Finally, it is 20 or 25 matches in around 40 days...... So, i dont understand how it is a torture to watch cricket. However, I agree to your second half abt Srinivasan, Neo sports and commentary.
Good riddance!! The TV anchors/commentators were also very boring. ESPN or Star can benefit from this. But the viewers are still forced to listen to the hopeless commentary on any of these channels.......
Nimbus has alwyas been a grt Cricket Producer since it's inception undoubtedly. The telecast rights should remain with Nimbus only. As much the break-time show is concern so it's totaly Channels property whatever they want to promote on their channel. BCCI should not have any concern with that. And we should be thankful to Nimbus with their thought of giving our national game it's pride again.

The main issue is that cricket rights are overpriced. First BCCI charges too much and we people are bombarded with ads and high cost pay channels. Even after the bombardment, the broadcaster does not make enough money. Time to decrease rights prices and salaries of the BCCI bigwigs.

what they are seeking. Because of this, our to view cricket matches have been eroded with the bombardment of Ads almost every minute and every forms. We're force to see Ads even the ball does to the boundary nowadays. Where is own right to view nice uninterrupted match? Haven't we paid for it too?

switch t0 225/- pm plan ( gold cricket)if ur dishtv user . it automatically activates the channel on which indian team matches are shown DD1 NATIONAL is given for free . UNCLE
I presume there is much more to the story than just delayed payments .Some body's hands were not wetted enough .Next see the transparency - they do not want any game to prosper in India . Makhen must get his way thorugh now ask for details .
Feel sorry for NIMBUS but too many sports channels are difficult to manage , especially if you are a DTH subscriber. You cant pay the subsription for all the channels. SO, if NIMBUS exits, then the cricket fans will have one channel less.

good that a channel which never improved but in fact was a torture with mostly ads would not cover cricket. Wonder what will they show now that they do not have any major deal. Espn Star only slightly better but horrible commentators and generally espn relied on Sky sports(UK) or Channel 9 feed and did not do much in house production so cannot say they should get it.
They first brought Nimbus which was a poor decision purely on the basis of bidding ignoring far superior broadcasters such as Star & ESPN.They are once again using default as reason to terminate without looking into the merits of it.This shows how commercial is the set up with no love for game but used as a tool to make money for mentors(we all know who are they?
