virender sehwag sometimes show the potential of viv.richards and if he continues to do so with continuity then he can be counted as a marvellous criketer.

8 off 10 innings in subcontienent
by Jai Thadani on Dec 09, 2011 10:48 PM  | Hide replies

8 0ff 10 innings in subcontinent
remaining 2 :- 1 against nz in hamilton and 1 against bermuda..
No notable innings against australia/south africa

No denying sehwag is brilliant but his style of play is very much suited to subcontinent
Against bounce and pace, he bats well but not long enough.

So surely appreciate this Record and its monumental. But he has been not performing that well off past few months and I hope he scores 40% of runs(40 % 0f 219 = 54 runs) every ininnings in australia.

sachin has scored a 200 notout in odi against SA on a flat track...but he almost always fails when conditions difficult, early wickets fallen, pitch fast....

i hope he scores at least 40% (40% of 200 not out) every innings when pitch fast, pressure situation and early wickets fallen, with sehwag, gambhir and dravid not contributing too much...

sachin has not been performing under such situations that well of past few years (22 years) and i hope he scores 40% of runs (40% of 200 runs) every innings in australia (especially in above mentioned pressure situation)...

once again proved who is better batsman between sehwag and sachin and who is responsible for india wins in the last decade...

sehwag once again proved he can bat longer and bigger innings than sachin...200 in less innings than sachin...also many double hundreds and triple hundreds in tests! poor sachin!!

hi sunil, don't say like that.sachin is the base of Indian cricket.Don't forget that.when sachin was played look at the team. And now look at the team.wins and loses ,it is based on total team affort.,not only one person.
And finally sachine is the first double century maker against south africa..no 2 ,no 3 ,no 4.....doen't feel any thrill for longer...But i love sehwag also ,but not like sachin.

this was a good innings from Sehwag too...when everyone fell like house of cards, he played positive.though it was impossible to chase that target, sehwag looked like he will make us reach the total if he stayed till end, but an unlucky run out ruined it all :(

WI BLOWN AWAY BY SEHWAG STORM
by damodaran mohan on Dec 09, 2011 04:41 PM

Given his style of play such a hurricane of innings one day was but expected of Sehwag and could not have come from any one else. Easily it was one of his best innings of his career so far establishing himself as one of the greatest of cricketers ever along side likes of Viv Richards. It could not have come at more opportune moment when the Indian team is preparing for the Aus series. The young and inexperienced Aussie bowlers must have started getting nightmares already. Also, one must feel sorry for the WI who after the A'bad match had come to Indore with lot of expectations but were simply blown away by the Sehawg storm.
