Terrific Innings..I hope to see similar innings in Aus....that will be Fun..Rahul is in great form, SRT is perfect, VVS loves Aus pitches and now Viru is in great form...Aus team must be concerned about Indian batting lineUP for sure...

In Aus ? This precisely is the issue. Indians feel stuff like this can be repeated in places where the ball also does move around laterally. Does not work buddy unless opposition keeps on dropping you. And we rate the batting of our batsmen by these flat track stats. Not fair.

would you say same for sir Don Bradmon when Sunil Gavaskar broke his 29 century record?

Why people like you never do any good for anyone, keep comparing?

Have you ever held bat in the hand or heard the swinging ball passing your ear?

I've...for your information...

stop comparing...

Sachin scored against SA

Sachin was not given strike by Dhoni for last 4 overs

Sachin scored double ton when there was no rule to change the ball so hitting on new ball in the slog overs is easy for a set batsman.

I don't take any credit off Sehwag..

India is blessed to have cricketers like Sachin, Kapil, Sunil, Rahul, Viru, LakshmaN, Sourav, Anil, Chandra, Solkar and so many...

enjoy the game man ..get well soon.

Stop comparing....

Sehwag -the man with the golden touch
by Bob Shivaram on Dec 09, 2011 06:29 AM  | Hide replies

No words and accolades can sum up his superlative performance. He plays in a zone of his own, devoid of any fear. HIf there is a ball to be hit he will go for it. In the first ODI, he was all too cautious- not being his stlye he paid the price. This time he played it his way and the results are there to see.He is a master craftsmen wih the hand-eye coordination technique and like Jayasuriya as long as his reflexes match up he wil cotinue scoring at will. His style remains the same be it T20,ODIs or Tests. He is a calculative slogger- else achieving two 300 plus in Tests would not have been possible.Sachin pile up runs whereas Sehwag slams them. Oe is a tempermet of concentration and the other terrorises the opposition. They play different styles and cannot reallly be compared. The sad part is that they are in the last few years of their career.

Treat to watch. But works only in wickets like this. If he can work out that temperament and dedication to survive in the other conditions as well, then he would make a superb package.

well fools like you will move around in the world with confused minds and delusions...dhoni's fans are of course delighted that sehwag got double century...it is sachin fanatics and people like you who are sad....

people with shallow knowledge like you will never understand cricket...you dont even understand that in england things were so out of control that even god himself (thyeh real one) would have lost if he had captained the indian team...

Jiju, you have poor knowledge, poor analysis skills, full of bias....

Sunil Vaidya and logical thinking capacity are antonyms. Thanks for being a freelancer for Dhoni :)

Normal cricket fans are very happy. It is Dhoni bootlickers like you who are sad.....

people with shallow knowledge like you will never understand cricket...you dont even understand that Dhoni's luck turned out well than his ability and efforts. India moved up in the ranking because maximum matches were played on Indian soil and so many people played well, so Dhoni could take the credit for the win. When players failed in England, Dhoni started the blame game again :)
Same happened in CLT20. He failed miserably, then gave some silly excuse (sour grapes story) :)

Sunil, you have poor knowledge, poor analysis skills, full of bias.... All you know is bootlicking Dhoni....

you are a gone case...

Shewag is the best Indian batsman ever because he has done what Merchant.Gavaskar,Sachin cud not even dream of with their so-called sound technique. Almost 3 triple tons in Tests, the highest in the world in ODIs, has the best of bowlers scurrying at his sight. Never plays for records like those 3, remember he hit a six to reach 300 at Multan.Gavaskar n Sachin used to crawl in their nineties to reach their milestones. Even a docile/lifeless wicket made by the Sudhir Naik at the behest of the parochial Bombay lobby cud not come to his rescue to score his hundreth ton. Shewag on the other hand has utter disdain for the reputation of any bowler, anywhere. He has no footwork,no so-called technique, but sends fielding sides in a tizzy thinking of how to set a field or contain him.Speaks his mind most of the time rather than be diplomtic like Sachin or scheming like Gavaskar.Though senior to Dhoni plays his heart out even though he was overlooked for captaincy, remember how Gavaskar underperformed under Kapil, just because he was sacked from captaincy.Merchants politics does not even merit a mention. It is below my dignity to even talk about the way he marginalised Lala Amarnath. The cancerous BCCI,Pawar n Bhogle's can never appreciate the class of Shewag.

Sehwag has scored ODI century while winning on non sub continental pitches only twice that too against New Zealand. No Australia England or South Africa.
and intotal 14 centuries.
And BIB ZERO test century while winning on non sub continental pitches
He is very good batsman but mainly flat pitch bully.

Ok. If you say so. But Sewhag has test centuries in Australia, South Africa and England. So will you still call him a flat pitch bully?

When he made his test match debut, India were 55/5 against South Africa on a green pitch and he had a partnership of Sachin of 222 for 6th wicket out of which he made 105. Will you still call him a flat pitch bully?

In 2007/08, against Australia in Adielde, India were behind Australia in the first innings by 140 odd runs. Sewhag scored 165 in 445 balls against Mcgrath, Gillispie, Lee, etc.

In Melbourne he made 195 in just 2 sessions on opening day of the test match in 2003/2004

Will you still call him a flat pitch bully?

If you do, all I can say is:

Get well soon!
