Why dont this reporter just write the list ..rather than who is where and was where ..?? and jumped Up or down ...readers can make sense out of it..if reporter just writes previous list and current list and then whatever his/her understanding about it...Just my opinion..

ur absolutely right.. not just the sports rating but Rediff does it this way for other fields (businessmen, movies, women..) as well. Most irritating thing is we have to click next to move on. There isn't anything in this article that could take up to 3 pages.. just who dropped from where and who replaced who. As u mentioned -- a comparison table would be easy to understand. Not sure as to wat rediff's strategy is.

The idea is to someway make it look different from the place from where they 'copy' it. What intelligent copy cats do in the school!!!!

Many said the same word when Murali came to play..."Joke of the century. "

With test matches being played getting fewer and fewer, there is no way another bowler in the current bowler reaching that milestone of 800 wickets for the next 1 decade atleast. Also, Murli has much more variety in his bowling because of his unusual bowling style. In that sense Ashwin is far more conventional.
