If he got his magical swing back, and he grabbed 21 wickets in 4 matches den He is the only person who can replace PK. If he got his place in team than it will be very interesting to watch How Dhoni will pick his team in Australia. I really hope that Irfan will definitely get his place in team for Aus tour

Isn't Dindia a youngster? You've covered all the options that we have. So, who you think should replace? Dinda?8hD5w
Praveen Kumar isnt exactly a "fast" bowler by any stretch of imagination therefore analyzing his replacement on the basis of pace sounds funny. Australia is a tough tour and Irfan certainly seem to have the edge among the contenders given his superiors skills as a swing bowler, which by the way is all Praveen Kumar is. And of course Irfan can bat at pretty much any order. It still is embarrassing that Pathan wants to be called a fast bowler when Kumble used to bowl at the same pace all his career and was called a spinner. Pathan should eat some meat and try to hit the 140 kmph range in the bouncier tracks in Australia.
Yeah there is no doubt Irfan has potential & best for that spot & he deserves to play for India again, He he superb & He must be awarded with a chance, We can hope our selectors would justify...........
in choosing the bowler, the slectors should keep in mind not the past record or any other fancy trait, but how fresh his legs are and the recent performances..in terms of freshness, all the three are eligible..in terms of speed, may be dinda or mithun might get the nod..but in terms of all round ability, swing with decent pace, then irfan should be teh candidate..already we have 4 fast bowlers who can clock 140 consistently..it would be ideal to go for a variety in terms of swing and all round ability.considering this, irfan should be the ideal choice..

Why not ? Zaheer had a comeback and is the best now. Irfan can do the same. I am looking forward to him taking up a leading role in indias cricketing future.

Zaheer still bowls in 130kph, where is Irfan is in low 120 without much control on the ball. Yes, Pravenn is also in low 120, but he is very accurate and able to swing unlike Irfan..

Didnt you read. The question is if irfan has found his swing back. And based on ranji performance it seems he has got his rythmn and swing going again. Zaheer was as wayward before he entered his second phase. So don't judge too early buddy. I back irfan to come back and do good again.
