He's a not a captaincy material

He's an excellent batsman and a great humble human being. Will he be a par excellence captain?? I seriously doubt it. Let's accept it. He's not a natural leader like Ganguly or Dhoni. Leadership skills are not his forte. He's not a good decision maker. Remember, when he was captaining Royal Challengers he used play Wasim Jaffer. To my knowledge, even a street cricket captain wouldn't have selected Jaffer in a T20 team. That speaks his captaincy skill. Rahul should have opposed playing Jaffer even if management forced.

Rahul should have opposed jaffer that itself is hilarious, dravid himself is not a T20 player.

Wish you all the best.
Dravid is by far the greatest Indian batsman along with Gavaskar, plus also a team player, unlike his team mate, Mr Bharat Ratna.

and yet, he did better than big fancied guns. he is consistent with the valuavle player - bang per buck dravid does justice as opposed to big names with less value

People think Rahul isn't good at captaincy. Its a great oppurtunity for him to prove his worthiness as a captain before his career ends. Captaining the Mumbai Indians side, sachin showed that he is not bad at captaincy. Likewise, Rahul's tenure as captain of India was not too succesful -- Hope he takes this chance to prove the world that he is good T20 player and leader as well. GO Rahul GO!!

what use is the captaincy in Masala Cricket (even if he proves good like sachin?); If at all you have guts, you must be able to pull up the team when going is tough - Like Ganguly did in 2000, where Match fixing scandal had busted and Sachin escaped from responsibility.

I agree with Shane Warne that Rahul is a leader par excellence. It doesn't require guts but the skill to be a good captain. Ganguly's chapter is over. People have called his bluff . Result you can see for yourself.
