India really needs Sachin at this time of need. Wish Sachin, being experienced One Day player currently in England can stepup and take Gambhir's spot in the T20 side.
Unfortunately, Sachin only wants to play T20 in IPL..
Dravid stepped up to fill the void, but he hasn't played even ODI for India in last couple years..

That is the problem in india. Test players get selected for ODI's while ODI players are selected for test matches!

And manish tiwari as the spokesperson of the indian team!

there is more of a machine game rather than natural game of angrez, though it is up-to desi batting to turn it around for their own good. angrez will apply the same plan to push back as they did earlier, desis would have to learn where dravid did well and rest did not jhissey vooha videshi phaar apply khareey pressure faster.
i would rather examine the bunch of white balls angrez bowlers are given and see how they behave at begin and in the middle overs. Angrez always like to have a cheat advantage.

Dhoni says that facing pace hurt him. Australia, SA and England Wicket-keeper put up with faster bowling than Indian pacers be it Ishant or whoever. Dhoni needs to get proper therapy whenever he is allowed rest during rotation and even after the end of WK day.

Adam Gilchrist having played 93 consecutive tests Never complained about sore hands. But he has to keep for mcgrath ,bret lee, michell johnson,Gillesspie,Kasprowiz, damien fleming, shan Tait etc (All medium fast bowlers) but Dhoni has to keep for RP Singh ,Sreesanth,Praveen Kumar ,Zaheer,Ishant ,Raina(All Express and Sultan of Swing Bowlers) poor dhoni

Oye Nowadays most of the time India also field 1 innings only(Rememeber all the innings defeat which means opposition bats only ones). For 1 innings he has to keep for Raina Praveen Kumar Sreesanth Ishant ,Is that too much to ask?

Come on "Wisden Cricketer of 2011",I have played the game.Nothing is easy in this world.
Limited overs match is a different ball game altogether. It's no more a patience game where 6 man field close to wickets in slips, gully or shortleg. Hope team India will wipe out England in one days. Time to see how England collapses in pressure.

limited overs game is a different ballgame ???? you are wrong my friend.....if you have played enough cricket, you will understand clearly that cricket is played the same way...just a little accelerated in ODI.....India losing 4-0 means that it is playing extremely poor cricket at the moment.......I am optimistic...but it will lose with its current play.

Well , I have played some cricket and I feel there are more differences in Tests and ODIs than just speed of scoring . The field setting for one . You'll see three slips and a gully in Tests but almost never ( except maybe the first 10 overs ) in ODIs . This means that in a match where the ball is swinging , a batsman in a Test will have to let a ball around off stump go as his chances of edging it are high while the same batsmen would slash hard at a similar ball in ODIs and get away with a thick edge to third man . This will make a lot of difference in the number of runs a natural strokeplayer like Raina would score . I agree with your point that a batsman who is not in form would still score lesser runs than usual , but then our team has a different look for the ODIs . The replacements have done well in their practice games . Now all we need to do is to get our bowlers in order . At present Indian bowlers are better in containment than in wicket taking , so we shouldn't have too much of a problem there .

and you guys are forgetting the most important difference. Pitch now a days in ODI pitches are tailor made in Batsmen favour. Ball will still swing so bowler will have that help but once the ball is little old and their is no help from pitch batsmen take more risk and natural stroke players like raina, yuvraj score more.
the problem compounds when team looses to a stronger team. they dont know who is real weak.Seniors have to be PUT BECAUSE india never worked on replacement of weaker player as long we won.yusuf and irfan ? yusuf, uttapa, yuvi ...essentially do well on flat wickets and not on bouncy-swing-york wickets.Ashwin is given chance and rahul sharma not given chance in practice match for T20. Seems very odd. Indian selectors dont learn until they loose. otherwise, keep a weaker member in team as long it keeps winning.are angrez looking to setup same traps outside and on off stumps.and the odd one's coming inside the stumps (with rise, swing, york) forright handed batting. Quite the same traps for Offside batsmen where correction in judgement of stroke is lacking. . Unheinmhalumm naaheey, once indian batting todh dega angrezi trap. Vinash will be let loose on fast bowling and spin attack of angrez that has almost pushed back indian batting to far back into the wicket.Same is applicable for indian bowling jhiskeey paas better means hein to put pressure once they bring it on.
varun is not ready as we saw in practice match, maybe later in series. humein talent kooha peace time mein introduce kharnaa hein and see how they do.

Quite the same traps for Offside batsmen hein jaha judgement in stroke mein kaameey hein.
dragging Harbhajan and Yuvi and Raina into test is one example of selection slack and Not realizing the laxman situation.

We Indians are very sharp to criticize when bus is missed. When India fails, they give all sort of advice and point out all sort of weakness of team. Had we been a selector, it would have been a different ball game. It is so easy to write but I am sure, 50% of us never touched bat in our life. If we are so accurate in prediction, what should be team composition for one dayers? Any taker !!
