This English tour is proving to be a complete disaster. BCCI cannot afford to be sitting on their laurels. It might be too late before they collect their wits and come up with separate plans for the three versions of the game. BCCI must form some experts committee of former cricketers to come up with a report to revitalize TEST cricket in the background of the different versions of the game being played. IPL cannot be trashed but the negative consequences of IPL, which are there are for sure need to be identified and suitable corrective steps are to be taken. We are told Gavaskar and Shastry are contracted with BCCI at an annual payment of Rs. 3.6 cr. each. No one knows what is their job and scope of work even while the Indian Test side is hurtling down towards oblivion. Then what these two former cricketers are doing in BCCI ? What is their assignment? Some accountability and transparency has to be there. Although Govt. interference is not welcome but ways must be found to bring BCCI under RTI. It is only a matter of time before BCCI also joins our other ineffective sports bodies if BCCI is allowed to function w/o any checks and balances.
When will indian fans/press change their mentality to see that when a injured player is sent back for treatment --it is a blessing for the team...so that only fit players play the game.....when will they learn.
Sachin playing cricket still is like, Rajini doing a duet sequence with a Deepika. None likes it and yet, it goes on like it. As 40 and 50 (in the case of SS, 60 ) heroes like Aamirs, Shahruks, Salmans, Mammutis, Nagarjuns, Venkys, Sarath Kumars think they still have it in them to do a hero's role and carry the film on their shoulders, Sachin too thinks he still has the reflexes and the game of decades back. It only sucks and looks pity to watch him struggling time and again. Enough is enough SRT. Please call it quits and give way for youngsters to do what u did two decades back.
