Save for those two 50s, MSD did nothing noteworthy. He's more interested in mula and Ads. There are better wicket keepers in the country than him. But, he has become so powerful now that, he can even replace selectors and it's hard to replace him. It was awful to see him stand that far while keeping for Praveen Kumar and RP who bowl at a mediocre pace of 110 - 120 kph.
if Dhoni hands are sore, there is some different problem with Dhoni, we can rest dhoni when playing against B teams. So Dhoni can get examined for any sort of strain in his upper body, get massage, herbal oil-lotions and proper therapy to condition his body again. RP singh can count for swing conditions and can hit with bat as well. Cannot try untried bowlers like Varun Aaron without him having played. We need Pragyan or rahul sharma with the spin.

Fools like you will never miss a chance to criticize me. But ask anyone in the Indian team. They will also tell the same.

Mate..he is all right...far from BEST...Soemtimes he bats good but real problem is his skills behind wkts..he has dropped many important catches which turned out very very fatal and turning pt for match...And yeah all players are hard working ..but best batsman...lol little overstatement...

Idiot, if you are speaking about Dhoni you are wrong. He is the most hard working and the best batsman in the indian team. Fools like you wont understand the truth.
To count billions of reserve bank INR he has no problem with his sore hands. His game has lots of fault, dhoni, raina, yuvaraj can't play fast bowling. to get national Cap is a previlage and this bunch of losers have misused it.

Dravid is my choice as Gauti can't see clarly and so out of the series, tendu can't handle the pressure, Rohit/Virat too raw for the post.
Re: Need a keeper
by Rajendra Uparkar on Aug 29, 2011 05:56 PM
I fully agree with you. Dhoni had never been a good wicketkeeper. He rose to fame because of his few attacking innings in early part of his one day career. As a keeper, he is just ordinary. He is nowhere when we compare him with likes of Farookh Engineer, Syed Kirmani or Kiran More. His keeping is becoming worst day by day. Sachin, Laxman and Dravid had saved India (and him) from total wash out in practically all Test Series (whether in India or overseas). See what happened in England, when Sachin could not score a single century. People say that Sachin's century never contribute to Indian Victory or that Sachin never plays under tension. In my opinion, his centuries have offen resulted in drawing the test matches overseas which had saved India from total wash out.

He has won mostly in subcontinent which is not the real test of a captain. The team & leadership collapsed without fight in difficult conditions.
