Gauti

Gautam is the kind of batsman who could become a great a la Sachin and Dravid. Hope he recovers fast.

But I feel angry at the Indian team management who STILL think he will be back to play the warm up games, let alone the ODIs!

Typical Indian mentality to squeeze somebody as much as possible with scant regard to health of future of the person in question. This attitude is also evident in the back to back fixtures prepared by the no-control board, resulting in player burnout and bringing more shame to the nation. Dont expect more when money hungry fat p!gs run our cricket.

Drop Gambhir and ask him to get his fitness sorted out at his hom
by jeevan on Aug 26, 2011 11:15 AM  | Hide replies

Its a distraction for the rest of the team . Let him earn his place post his fitness is perfect and his form is perfect. Also mandate every player who is taking or forced a break to first prove his match fitness in atleast 3 games in the respective format that he is due to appear. give no exceptions even its sachin. This is a good opportunity to start the building process and instead of waiting for the core team to go off with retirement.

Lay It Off Guys

Okay, there is a time and place for sarcastic comments, but this is not it. Forget about Gambhir's career being affected, this could prove to be a lifelong problem for him if it turns out to be something serious. So guys, forget whether he scored a hundred or a duck in the series, this guy is in some trouble and if one cannot sympathize with him, let's at least not trivialize it by talking about his feats on the ground. Hoping that what ever he is suffering from turns out to be minor.

Yes, for him priority should be his health rather than his next game to India. And that I feel is common sense

Whenever Indian players are loosing the match and can't bat they will act as if they are unfit especially Sachin Shewag, Gambhir, Zahir Khan, Bhaji. If they are not able to perform, immediately they will start acting in field so that their money is safe and ready to select for next tour.

Ask him to come back!
by Dony Worry on Aug 26, 2011 10:30 AM

I don't understand what is he doing when he cannot see! Is he enjoying English wheather, play the game by announcing himself as fit night before the match then act like injured if the team does not do well(so that you can't blame him for the failure) and protect his place by sacrificing the team performance!

Whether Mumbai blocks in BCCI and other NI selectors do realize that at all? I know dummy Srikanth is helpless now.

Just whisper in his ears that an IPL match is coming up tomorrow and his vision will get all right. He has all sorts of complaints only while playing for the country.
