It was a ridiculous sight to see the famous indian batting line up folded like a pack of cards in the test series except rahul dravid and i really wanted sachin to hit his 100th ton to prove a fact that he doesnt do it for india and only for himself as his records speaks the volume but it didnt happen and i m sure that it will come i the near future call up the weaker teams to india and try to build up th epoints as we did we for the last 21 months its a shame what we have done
india is world champion.that's the reality.defeat in one series does not decide the capability of a champion.but its a alarm clock for india ,awake and face the reality that the dream run always need good commitment.

If the alarm clock didn't work after the first test, it probably is broken already... :)
If the 'brand image' of Indian Cricket is to be judged by the perceptions of the followers one can confidently conclude that it has taken a beating after the 'ignominous' defeat against England. It will be a short-term effect only if India redeems its prestige in the ensuing one-dayers and tests. Further losses will mean a definite decline.
We can draw a good parallel between Indian Cricket now and Product Life Cycle management (PLC). We are in the Saturation/decline stage in PLC now, having enjoyed the Introduction; Growth; and Maturation in the last decade (considered only ten years for PLC of cricket)
In the Decline stage of PLC' Sales Volume declines - it could be viewership both on ground and on TV; Profitability diminishes - it could be revenue decline in cricket; Prices come down - Ticket prices could come down in Cricket; Poses challenges to production/distribution efficiency - organising and scheduling matches in different locales may be challenging now.
A host of strategies need to be formulated and implemented if the enthusiasm is to be sustained. A SWOT analysis of Cricket will be perfectly in order. BCCI shall not miss this point and view the situation as an excellent opportunity to bring about a transformation that will last at least another decade.
Jeans may die but Clothes will not. Indian Cricket (possibly test cricket) may be declining but World Cricket will not. That is the comforting piece amidst the shambles.

There is no relation between Brand value and Cricket game. Abhishek Bacchan has not given any major hits till now. But his brand image and aura is intact and will remain forever.
We are world champions till 2015 and euphoria will stay for another 25 yrs. There are 11 stars born somewhere in India who will bring back to us the glory of WC championship for India in 2035. Hope there is another Sachin Tendulkar/Kapil Dev born as of today in some corner of India who will smash all the records of Bradman and Sachin . We will regain our number 1 spot in 2035.

It appears we have acute scarcity of talents in India. Forget Kapil Dev, even India doesn't have a bowler like him..Dont know wht wil hppen to India cricket :(..
