ABEMADERCOD atleast be sensible to someone who has injury. He was one who won the worldcup.

Have we never failed in life. Its true that they should have played much better but atleast give respect to some one who is injured

Both regular openers were out of sync: Reason for 4-0 loss
by Nikhil Shah on Aug 24, 2011 11:39 PM

The aftermath of this series boils down to one thing. Over the past 7 tests or 14 innings they had the right and best options in the WI tour of Mukund and Vijay. Should they have continued to tour England?

In the absence of both Shewag and Gambhir the pressure to get a good start is difficult. So for the England tour should the selectors go with a pair which has been playing cricket but not as established as Gambhir and Sehwag?

This resulted in India getting poor starts for the last 14 Test innings. What was the solution then?

It would have been better to not rest or exclude both the openers. Shewag was injured but that was not avoidable. Missing both openers in WI was a problem.

Murali Vijay had bailed Gambhir out in India, but it is not possible to bail both out at the same time.

The inclusion of Ishant and Gambhir has made a big difference to the Indian side over the last 2 years. We hope Varun Aaron and Rahane can add to this difference.

Though Ishant has slowed down, Varun will make a similar impact early. If he can decide to focus more high nutrition diet and a very strict fitness regimen along with playing lesser cricket than needed.

Varun Aaron in this short List-A career has an eco rate of 4.6, which makes him a legitimate contender with his pace to survive the Indian team.

Champion League coming
by Sandip Gupta on Aug 24, 2011 12:28 PM  | Hide replies

Champion League will be held just after England Tour. Players should be completely fit for their franchisees before Champion League, which is more important than ongoing series.

Gambhir's Blurred Vision
by Amitava Nandi on Aug 24, 2011 12:07 PM  | Hide replies

Blurred vision ? My foot. My kid of 2 yrs falls of the bed & hits the tiled floors regularly with no problem in vision. We, in our youth have fallen off trees & walls with no problems. These guys need to be cocooned in cotton to save them from coccussion leading to blurred vision. And who is to blame for that? The ground, which must have been harder than cotton or HIS misjudgement on the flight of the ball ?

His playing was his decision Due to fall there could be swelling in the brain or a very very small leak of blood in the brain MRI is mandatory May be he developed blurring later on as his brain was increasingly compressed

Zaheer, Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Sehwag, Ishant, Gambhir ........ No more please. What is happening? Where are players like Kapil Dev who never got injured in his playing career and was the greatest all rounder india ever produced. Shame on youngsters who have taken easy route to money and have forgotten basics for hard work and commitments. Sorry state of affairs for BCCI

It's also got to do with poor technique. Gambhir's injury is due to his head smashing the ground while trying to take a catch. he should've done better than that, the injury wouldn't have happened with proper technique
