Dhoni,Ganguly,Gavaskar,Kapil Dev,Azar deserves but why Sachin ?
by km vb on Aug 23, 2011 12:06 PM  | Hide replies

Is Sachin had any important role for winning any series for INDIA ?He piled up runs as his age grown up,other than piling up runs do any of his Innings denote/refer/cherish for importance.
Look at the India Population. There are many youngsters waiting for a chance and it is very disgusting to see the role play behind by some sorts of group ? BCCI ? Selectors ?regional Commentators ? allowing him to play for such a long period by denying geniune young players.

It is high time to apply force by all like BCCI, Selectors, Bombay commentators,Ex-players to make him retire or else to take a hard decision by BCCI and Selectors?

Lords test, England 3 wickets down for 50 runs or so, Pieresen cant get bat to ball and what Dhoni does is take all the pressure of him and the England team by lazy, thoughtless and compalacent leadership. I feel sorry for the bolwers for having such an inept and useless leader. That was it, i then predicated we would loose 4 -0.

I don't believe in surrendering my job: Dhoni

As long as Dhoni doesn't accept that bowling is a problem, we are not going to get out of the rut. And Dhoni should also explain why Munaf was not included in the team? The way Dhoni and Raina played in the last innings shows their commitment. They dont deserve a place in the test team.

vidyasagar in this series it was totally batsman's fault. with only 1 300 plus score in 8 innings what can bowlers do? they also must have some back up...also with our 2 best and main bowlers zaheer and bhajji unfit it was going to be difficult for us anyway...

and dont forget that if were no. 1 in test format it was because of our bowlers mainly, more than our batsman, because one can become no. 1 in other formats even if bowlers fail, but in tests one can become no. 1 only by taking 20 opposition wickets and we have been doing that consistently in the last 2 years against strong opponents like aus, sa, eng, nz, sl...

I agree as far as Munaf is concerned.Raina is a committed cricketer but lacks consistency in the shot selection process, he always gets in to 2 minds while trying to defend, especially against spinners. He also got a raw deal in the last innings. As far as dhoni is concerned the less said the better.

The blunt fact is that Arrogance & Complacency have crept into Dhoni's mind. Some of the tactics he used were baffling to say the least. Another thing we must not lose sight of is the fact that India is an AGING side and we were winning most games due to Batting. England are the word's best BOWLING side in Test cricket plus their batsmen & all rounders came good. England richly deserve their victory while India have a lot of soul searching to do!

coincidence?

Last time when India lost 0-4 to Aus, Azar was captain. Azar made his money and now an MP. Dhoni is ahead after winning T20 and ODI WC. He should soon retire which Azar didn't do and paid penaly of being a match fixer. Azar though belongs to Hyderabad contested from UP. How about Dhoni? Chennai?

Dhoni has no such chance, Azhar can depend on vote bank politics and get elected, no such luck for Dhoni, apart from a cricket player no one knows him..

Dhoni is welcome to the Indian Railways. He will be engaged in a suitable job as per his qualifications (undergraduate).

Next TEST series is India Vs Austrialia in Australia in December. I think we should stop thinking about ranking for a while! We will be lucky if we stay in top 5 now(out of 11 teams!)
