EVERYONE KING IT'S OWN COUNTRY
by samit kar on Aug 22, 2011 08:54 PM  | Hide replies

I THINK ENGLAND NOT PLAYING ANY TEST MATCH LAST 2 YEARS. EVERYONE KING IN OWN GROUND. 4-0 THE RESULT IT'S IS MATCH FIXING. IF ENGLAND HAVE POWER ? GO TO INDIA OR AUSI OR SRILANKA AND WIN THE SERIES. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN THERE.

For your information, England won the Ahes in Australia 3-1. Check your facts before you start barking.

Thank God, the nightmare is finally over!
by Sunil Kumar on Aug 22, 2011 08:35 PM

England's 4-0 whitewash of India has brought curtains down on what was a nightmare - and a festering ignominy for all of us lovers of Indian cricket. The final over played out by Sreesanth, summed up the Indian approach - a total lack of professional pride. With 9 runs to score in order to avoid a follow on and with plenty of overs left for the close of play and a higher order batsman in Ishant at the other end, this joker of a tailender went bang bang bang at every single ball he faced - not connecting even one with the middle of his bat and finally playing on to the stumps. Had the Joker stayed and shown patience for just one more ball, and settled down before venturing on repeating his madness of the first innings, may be the ignominy of yet another innings defeat - the second in successive test matches - could have been averted. But then, such a thinking calls for professional pride; a quality which was pronounced only in the lack of it in this Indian team where every one plays for his own market worth in the endorsement world or for his individual records. Why blame the Joker, when others who are proclaimed as part of the strongest batting line up in the world until the thrashing at the hands of pommies, fared no better. Take the Great Tendulkar, who batted less freely than Amit Mishra throughout his stay at the crease. The salaried selectors must think wisely and longterm - what is called for is a drastic overhaul; with no love for deadwood or any premium for reputation

Stats may reveal only half the story - Dravid the Culprit?
by Anjali rao on Aug 22, 2011 08:30 PM  | Hide replies

Harsh reality!!

check this out

dravid dropped at least 8 catches in this series in Slip.the biggest costly drop was Kevin pieterson in 1st test match at zero and he went on to score 200

Stats and averages may show dravid played better in this series but that is just half the story.See how many easy catches he dropped in slip and mind you all those catches were easy regulation slip catches and english batsmen went on to make big scores after given life by dravid's shoddy sloppy slip fielding. His slip fielding was culprit even in Wl and SA tours

What is use of Dravid centuries when they do not help India win matches? in past people were shouting at Sachin that his centuries are in losing cause now what about Dravid's ?

Dravid centuries unlucky for India.Whenever he scored century in this series,we lost match.3 centuries all 3 in losing cause And in all series he failed in 2nd innings only played in 1st innings. What is use of centuries when it does not help India win matches?

He failed in second innings just played in 1st innings.Dropped many easy catches in Slip that costed us Lord's test match and 3rd test match.

so moral of story is what?

No single person can win a game all 11 have to put an effort. In past Sachin was one man army and all were accusing him of not finishing game now what about dravid?

Had those regulation cathes been taken then this series would have been 2-2... not one or two but 8 drops by Dravid!!

CRICKET WORLD CUP - BULL SHIT
by chamdi on Aug 22, 2011 08:10 PM  | Hide replies

How Can It be called a WORLD CUP without less then a Quarter of the world getting involved in CRICKET?. No other country is intrested in CRICKET except INDIA. That is why there are only 8 to 10 countries playing the game & the rest 2 or 3 are being bribed to play. If INDIA is to get recognisation in the World these Guys should Invest in FOOTBALL. Now curse me for speaking the truth.

There is no point in cursing you because because you haven't spoken the truth . For your information , cricket is played around the world . The difference is that instead of all of them playing at the same level (as in football ) the teams are divided into different divisions ( somewhat similar to Davis cup tennis ) The best teams and qualifiers from the second level play in the World Cup . There are six divisions in all below the test playing nations . I don't remember how many teams there are all together but look up the ICC website and you'll find it there . If you don't like cricket , thats fine . Its your choice . But dont make silly comments about the game without knowing the full facts .
