Raina is a failure...
by B M on Aug 22, 2011 09:14 AM  | Hide replies

105 runs in 7 innings. Indian cricket fans must accept that Raina is not yet worthy enough to make it to the test side. Big scores on Indian soil should not change this conclusion.

Its very easy to ask Tendulkar, Laxman to retire, but is there a single youngster who can match them even in their worst form? Raina has failed in England. Kohli got his chances in West Indies but did not do too well. Yuvraj has never been consistent. It is not true that youngsters are being blocked. They have been getting chances but are not good enough. Critics may like it or not, but even in their worst form, Tendulkar and Laxman are better than the youngsters.

BCCI
by max skinner on Aug 21, 2011 09:35 PM

Blame BCCI because they make Indian players play on non Indian pitches which help bowlers. More such performances and one will see an increase in matches played in India else how will the cricket mafia make money.

Ideal series abroad should only be against :
Bangladesh
Zimbabwe

This will ensure that the talented Indian players not only score lot of runs but also increase their IPL value and the Indian cricket fans too are happy.

If possible, ban overseas tour of :
England
South Africa
Australia
New Zealand
Sri Lanka
Pakistan

team analyst Nathan Leamon -
"We feed into the simulator information about pitches and the 22 players who might play, and it plays the game a number of times and tells us likely outcomes."
"
The software records how many times a ball is pitched in each block and the resulting shot. This data is then used by England bowlers to work out the best areas to bowl to exploit each batsman's weakness.
"

this software is not their main driver but a advertising and sale trap, actually google map cameras have seen angrez building rectangle and squares on the practice pitch as to where the ball needs to land and at what angle to improve their accuracy with speed to hit wickets, get snicks and rise. Same program they have for batting.
India does not have extensive program to be number 1 and program covers batting, bowling, fitness, fielding, mind conditioning, proper team selection, etc.
Let us not be sold into another scam software like how they sold DRS that is controlled by angrez-ghoras. Let us develop something of our own software though it is not the main driver, the main driver is what we do on indian and foreign pitches (some doctered at night), the ball, the pitch making, etc.

raina dont alter your style too much, should have allowed rohit.
tendulkar and sehwag had right approach.
tendulkar had wrong timing. sehwag made wrong judgment on the ball and his moves.
tendulkar timing was not good. He could let the ball go or be more defensive. swann varies his pace and bounce and spin.
Sresanth did what RP has been doing all day long (using crease) and put extra pace and got Morgan.
the angrez hated RP approach to restrict angrez even with lesser pace and blamed him for patch on pitch.
In contrast, Ishant stuck to his style to put pressure which forced Anderson and Morgan to chase sresanth for runs. good, atleast sresanth could nail them. though, sresanth went to thank the tendulkar for morgan wicket.
RAINA, dont be so ultra defensive. aghaar horizantal balla kheey timing naaheey hein thoo vertical balla (bat) use kharoo.

Well planned innings
by Ashish Sharma on Aug 21, 2011 05:22 PM  | Hide replies

Tendulkar is playing a well planned innings. He doesn't not want his 100th 100 to be remembered for series that is humiliatingly lost 4-0 by the Indian cricket team, while Rahul Dravid is wasting his efforts by scoring. He should also get out early and rest in the dressing room to preserve his strength for the next IPL.
