sachin the
by antony on Aug 21, 2011 11:47 AM  | Hide replies

His plan to retire the next day after hitting 100th 100, but it is costing heavily on Team India, Indian nation, and Indians. He won't retire until hitting that 100th one, for that single 100 he is even ready to play for another 100 years. No wonder, Indian govt waived a tax of 1.17 crores for his ferrari..and this player/businessman sold it for 1.55 crores to another indian. He really mocked India and our constituency by doing that. He should have at least given that 1.17 crore waiver money to poor, or should have deducted it from the selling price, and that is sachin; a player playing for corporates not the nation, and can you point out a single game which sachin performed or saved india from down under or at pressure situations?

and with that kind of selfishness in his heart, showing innocent face to the world, purchasing land & houses all over India, touring all around the world with family from the funds collected from poor cricket fans, selling oneself to Companies in IPL, this guy has been recommended for Bharatrathna to be at par with great Lata Mangeshkar & others!!!

yes exactly..why these huge cries for giving him "Bharat Ratna"..then raja, harshad mehta, ambani, sonia, manmohan, kalmadi also deserve this coveted award. It's time for the world's richest cricket board bcci to pressure icc to give test cap to Bermuda (leave playing test against bangladesh/zimbabwe, they are getting stronger)and let this guy score his 100th 100 and retire.

oh wait...sachin the master scored already 51 test centuries in test..but only 48 in ODIs..he is not looking forward to 100th 100..he is looking to tally the ODIs century as to tests to reach 50 centuries in ODIs too. oh..that is the secret sachin not performing well in tests (he is done with tests with 51 centuries), because he is saving his energy to reach 50 centuries in ODIs.

Tendulkar, Laxman, and Raina look clueless
by Johnymera Naam on Aug 21, 2011 11:37 AM

All three (SAchin, VVS and Raina) played in all the four matches and performed miserably. I think this is the end of the test career of Raina. But Laxman and Tendulkar also need to go, but no one has guts to do the right thing. A home series will be organized against minnows, and these guys will perform well, and we will be back to square one.

You idiot. He is the only player who has performed well. Throw out everyone else but him including all bowlers and batsmen. Why is no one asking for Sehwag to be dropped. He has scored a total 8 runs in the last 3 innings. Ishant Sharma, RP Singh should be dropped. What about Dhoni - idiot. Any fool can see that the English have no problem with our weak medium fast bowlers. Get spinners in. Kick out all the old timers and get new fresh young cricketers in.

You are right. England have so far had severe problems against Harbhajan Singh and Amit Mishra. They would surely have crumbled if only Dhoni had the brains to field Pragyan Ojha!

You are right. He is not only selfish; he is also cunning: a person with a scheming mind!
He is scoring runs, so that others could have a bad name.
He deserves to be kicked out.

lol i bet dravid knows hes the only one scoring, as much as you say he plays for the team, but obviously even a kid knows whatever you score adds to your individual tally too. dravid is mindful of that, of 2 centuries scored previously and again batting thru yesterday when others failed

he should immediately retire from all forms of cricket after this test. The real heroes are Dravid and Laxman who play in the interest of Team India.

tendulkar and sehwag had right approach
by D S on Aug 21, 2011 10:53 AM  | Hide replies

tendulkar had wrong timing. sehwag made wrong judgment on the ball and his moves.

tendulkar timing was not good. He could let the ball go or be more defensive. swann varies his pace and bounce and spin.

Sresanth did what RP has been doing all day long (using crease) and put extra pace and got Morgan.

the angrez hated RP approach to restrict angrez even with lesser pace and blamed him for patch on pitch.

In contrast, Ishant stuck to his style to put pressure which forced Anderson and Morgan to chase sresanth for runs. good, atleast sresanth could nail them. though, sresanth went to thank the tendulkar for morgan wicket.
RAINA, dont be so ultra defensive. aghaar horizantal balla kheey timing naaheey hein thoo vertical balla (bat) use kharoo.

Crisis
by dundanadun on Aug 21, 2011 10:48 AM  | Hide replies

Any team has its own up's & down's. It looks our people on this forum are more facinated by english media rather than supporting the home country during the bad phase. Agreed, we had a very very bad series and english media is making a history out of it. Did they forget that they were awarded three innings defeats brown wash in 1996 series. For england this is their biggest triumph since playing cricket with more than 1 country and they have a reason to bark about that has a biggest achivement in sports history on earth. But what about our own friends here on this forum? Today, every Tom, dick and harry is barking against the gaints like Sachin, Laxman and Sehwag sitting infront of computers at home. The same people criticized Dravid 6 months back asking for his head and its a U turn today.Do you think that they don't know their duty? Unfortunately our players succumbed to the pressure created by the media there before the start of the series. It is the same team which paved wave for the australian down fall before 2 years. Let us all support them during this crisis and remind english people once that white wash is something new for us unlike you, who kept loosing ashes (mostly 5-0)till last year(They lost 5-0 in 2009 inspite of winning 2007 ashes). Jai Hind

Good - the whitewash is happening.
by sudip majumder on Aug 21, 2011 10:46 AM

Indian cricket will be finally cleansed. Rot set in while Dalmya was the chief. It went to crescendo with pawar at the helm. It was duly aided by the most pathetic cricketer Shastri, Gavaskarf and armchair idiot like Bhogle. Srikant and More like jokers donned the cricket. D-company, black money flooded all around making our minnows rich beyond belief [while the stalwarts of the past still had to do their best to make their ends meat). Folks like Tewari Raina Rohit made a cool millions by sheer fluke - not to mention about others. Poor Dravid never received the credit he should have got all along (except from the millions of fans like us) - Dhoni brought the perennial parochialism back ...
